HBO's "Game of Thrones"

After what HBO has done with this last season....god I hope GRRM finishes the books and puts these weak show writers to shame. I'm never hating on the dude again for taking his time with the books!
But of course, if Martin had just finished the 2 remaining books with the 7 plus years he has had since the last one, then the show's writers would have had source material to work with.

If is when you think about how she has lost everyone. It’s literally Greyworm that hasn’t betrayed her. That’s it. Everyone else either doesn’t trust her, doesn’t like her, or betrays her. While also the man she loves has rejected her. Loneliness drives people mad.
I'm agreeing with you, this is how I feel too. I posted about it in here a few days ago iirc.

I will say this: if you wanna complain about Jaime’s end, I completely agree. It really felt kind of empty at least for me.
If that is the end? Then yes... I was hoping for something much different. However, how many major characters have we seen climb out of rubble? Arya just did. I don't think Jamie and Cersei are dead (yet).

I really wish D&D had gotten with GRRM and found someone to hand the baton to so the story could have been told properly. Even if they were tired with the show, someone else could have continued the story a few more seasons so everything didn't feel so rushed to the end.

Emilia Clarke said she had to walk out of the script reading before she quit having seen what D&D did to her character.
I know a lot of people love this crap. It is my own fault, my son called it 10 years ago, before there ever was a TV show. He is a smart kid, I should have listened to him.

Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson and the great Tolkein are the true greats of fantasy...GRRM is nothing but a schlock feeding ghoul...a very talented one no doubt, but a horrid ghoul.

They really did just turn her into the most evil person in the world, she just burnt a million innocents for no damn reason...none. There was literally zero strategic value to it, it was just to make her evil..that is all.

I'm confused, what is schlock feeding about GRRM again?

People that are losing their mind rarely do things for strategic or tactical reasons tbf.

I think anyone who has either personally suffered, or had a loved on that suffered, from mental illness will be more sympathetic to Dany.

Do any of you all even know why fire doesn't burn her? It is not because she is a Targaryen, it is because she has the true Blood of the Dragon, unlike her little weasel brother Viserys, nor is she a puny feeble minded freak like her father. We are told that over and over and over in the books, it is her strength of character...and all of it meant nothing..nothing. Just another in a long never ending line of red herring lies perpetrated by GRRM and the show runners..so they could twist a knife in your gut even harder. That is a betrayal of trust by the storytellers. I would understand and accept the insanity if it been shown to be a real potential thing a loooong time ago in the books, or if it wasn't dismissed over and over and over as a real possibility by the storytellers.

Jaime/Cersei are my only complaints about tonight’s episode. I’m assuming they’re both dead. There’s nothing to gain or redeem by them appearing again next week. I thought that Jaime would be the one to kill Cersei, or at least try, but that didn’t happen. No reason for him to kill her now, should they be alive. It would be a mercy killing at this point.

The fact you care about the character this much shows GRRM must have been doing something right with his writing. Every story is a journey. You don't always like where you end up. That doesn't mean it's bad. Tragedy is a part of life we all face.

My biggest issue so far with this entire season is if that is how Jamie dies, then they absolutely torpedoed his character development. Maybe the point they were trying to make was that people don't REALLY change? I don't know but his arc and character development was one of the best in the show and if that was it for him...that is bad, lazy writing imo.

I've been critical of a lot of the past two seasons, but I thought this was awesome. To each their own of course.

Now they can add another title to her never ending list..."Burner of hundreds of thousands of innocent children and babies for no damn good reason"
