I just want a clear winner. No riding the fence stuff. The last shot of the next episode should be someone sitting on the Iron Throne.

I vote for Ghost on the Iron Throne, with Drogon as Hand.

But I think you will be disappointed. I mentioned it earlier, and others have as well, but I think this ends with the throne in ashes and warring independent kingdoms. Then they get the wheel started again.

She is a symbol of the true threat to Westeros. It isn't dragons, or the Night King. It is the humans fighting over a chair.

I never said it was a negotiation. She was obviously not wanting to fry them at first, she told them to bow or die, and they would not bow...their choice to force her hand, fry them or show everyone in Westeros she was too weak to do what she said she would. At least it was obvious to me at the time. It was bad, but it wasn't frying hundreds of thousands of babies bad.

No and none of us had a problem with it cause they were the enemy.

Still tho an indication of what she was capable of... Both from a violence standpoint And political standpoint.

Point being she had options and her hand was giving them to her one after the other... She declined every one.

Normally, you seem like a pretty good dude, but you've gone over the top in this thread simply because people don't agree with you. You should work on delivering your arguments in a civil manner, especially when they're over a work of fiction. If you don't like the story, don't watch it anymore. Write it off and go back to real life, or find another show to get lost in. I'm not sure any of us are 100% happy with the story, but we haven't made it a point to make post after post of "it sucks!". It seems you know a bit about spite yourself.

Except to say this..I did not expect a "happy" ending. I expected what was promised a "bittersweet" ending..

I don't think either rule in the end, and I haven'tfor a long time. But I thought that it would be a better, and more plausible ending than the one the leaks say they have planned...I'm serious...it is ridiculous.

I really hope at this point that the leaks are true...that way everybody will remember this story with the same disgust I now do. GRRM and B&W deserve for this to be hated.

That would feel incomplete and it would be very unsatisfying. I'm not a book reader so I wouldn't take it as personally as McGill, but that is no way to end an epic fantasy. You should have a very clear winner. IMO.

IMO she fought the NK and his army for two reasons. One is Jon. Two, she thought it would earn her love. But the people of the North weren't slaves to be saved from their masters. Instead, they saw her as a slaver herself with Jon having bent the knee. They were all upset by that. They all questioned her right to rule the North. And when she didn't receive their love, you saw her mood darken.

Now, add to that her personal losses, and the fact Jon revealed to her he is the true heir to the Iron Throne. And as such, in finding out she's his aunt, he can't continue their relationship. I just don't see how some don't understand how such an emotional toll can break someone.

It has been foreshadowed for the whole series that Dany was going to walk right in her father's footsteps...it happens....and now people are surprised by it and whining about it...lmao unreal.

It is not nearly as foreshadowed so far in the books. My opinion of her is likely just as driven by what I have read vs. what I have seen.

Dany has always wanted to be a beloved monarch. Not a beloved person, but a beloved queen. She didn't go north because it was the right thing. She went north for what she thought she would gain. I look back and I see that. Before she would even entertain the thought, Jon had to bend the knee. It's always been a selfish goal to rule over everyone.
