well, up tot he point we found out he was a targ, the line was broken pretty much anyway. If Jon honors his vows on the Night Watch better than last time, his banishment means the end of the Targaryen line. At least that particular spoke of the Wheel will be broken.
is that what all shows are going to be about going forward? if so, i'm with ya.Subverting expectations as the big fad is gonna run it's course, people are going to get sick and tired of watching stuff that has no meaning other than life sucks and then you die, or if you're really unlucky you get to have half your family get wiped out, then seeing your first great love try to kill you then dying in your arms, later dying yourself, saving the freakin world, and then as a reward get to hold the next great love of your life dying in your arms...after you frickin icepicked her in the heart.
Yeah...that was me. That is my version of Jon at least getting some peace after all he has gone through to save the f'n world. Piss on em all.I was replying to a post that said it was pointless (for the plot) to send Jon back to the Wall. Just them tying up a semi-loose end.
I actually like your version (I think it was yours) of him drinking Nattys and ice fishing with Tormund.![]()
Subverting fan expectations as the main agenda is the reason why Star Wars is in the mess it's in right now.is that what all shows are going to be about going forward? if so, i'm with ya.
lol.
we kinda talked about that last week. Jon, as he watched what Dany was doing pretty much lost faith in all of it. and no way he would be king at that point....would be easy to see him head North and not look back, assuming at the time that he lived while taking out Dany.....there were only two ways for Jon to go out at that point, imo, he dies or he leaves it all behind. now some of the choice was taken away from him by being forced to take the black, but i don't know that he'd of stuck around if it was up to him anyway.Yeah...that was me. I wanted him to turn his back on it of his own volition. That would have suited his arc to a T..but that would have been too cool for Martin or whoever's fault this is.we kinda talked about that last week. i was a little surprised at how steadfast they made him in his loyalty to Dany this episode, but i think it was pretty obvious he was in a state of denial.....Good thing Tyrian and him had that talk probably.
true, but we already knew the ending as far as ani/vader. and don't we all want more vader anyway? lol.Subverting fan expectations as the main agenda is the reason why Star Wars is in the mess it's in right now.
On another note...at least Lucas have us 9 freaking hours of turning cute little Ani Skywalker into Darth Vader...
GoT gave us a freakin episode to digest Danykin turning into Targ Vader..
