Herman Cain

members of the Tea Party support a lot of different people/issues. So I take it with a grain of salt when I hear a general statement regarding them

So what do you propose he do now?

Petition the Board of the National Restaurant Association to release the info regarding the accusations and the settlement be made public (this can be done while still protecting the names of the women); state exactly how he remembered the situation (not a simple, "I never remember such a situation"), and then at least allow the public to review the facts and allow each individual to be swayed according to the facts of the case.

Doesn't the Tea Party hate Newt?

The only thing I know they hate are Taxes. For all the talk about flip-floping, they sure do flip flop on what canidate they like. One month its Michelle, the next its Paul, then Perry and now Cain. By this summer they will be all pissy because Romney is the only one left standing and they will demand a 3rd party canidate, when they could have just picked 1 competent gal/guy and stuck with him/her, they could have won. Then they will blame the GOP for making them vote for Romney

how do you know what candidate the "tea party" likes? is there a weekly tea party poll?

I would be making an educated guess by looking at the polls over the past few month and noting the ups and downs of various canidates

The Tea Party hates taxes, loves Christianity, and hates Muslims.

I induced this from going to the suggesting reading tab on the TeaPartyPatriots.com site, then clicked the link to the only book the webmaster suggests that a Tea Partier read: Underdogma.

Doesnt exist... Try again

I feel like the "tea party" is too broad to generalize. they run the gamut from gun-toting bible beaters who want to legislate their social agenda. to extreme libertarians who want the majority of power back to the states

No other explanation

Particluarly when you consider that the original story was vague enough that any questions directed to Cain had the effect of baiting him into violating the confidetiality agreement.

Bumping this to let everyone know I split off the posts about American Exceptionalism into a new thread.

Ok, well my other post got lost in the fray. Another girl came out saying Cain made her feel uncomfortable but she didn't file a complaint. However she nor anyone else is providing any details. Why not?? WTF is the point?

...and now a former NRA employee - now a Perry pollster - is corroborating Cain's behavior. My question is why did it take this far into the campaign for all of these people to get an attack of morality? Cain has been at the top or headed in that direction for a couple of months now.

Like the lawyer who said his client wants to clear her name from Cain's allegations that she was a sub-par worker, although she hasn't been named, yet.

Funny how that works.
