You also have to consider the serious nature of this particular illness. Did you ever see "Sybil" with Sally Field in the late 70's? That was a true story of a young woman who had 8 distinct personalities that had manifested as a defense mechanism to childhood abuse from a paranoid schizophrenic mother. Sybil couldn't cope with the abuse she had endured from someone who was supposed to love her, so she became other people who had never experienced the abuse.

Sybil only had 8 personalities. Herschel had 12. The guy has had a traumatic life, and deserves sympathy... but he has no business being in the United States Senate.

Are his problems behind him or is the worst yet to come? It seems there's no cure for his particular illness.

Sybil was not a documentary. Using it as a yardstick is repulsive.

It's a shame you're going to beat this drum without knowing how well/unwell he is today.

Get ready to be repulsed, because his history of mental illness is going to be exploited. That is reality.

On an almost daily basis, Donald Trump Jr. takes to Twitter, and he either implies that Joe Biden is a dementia patient, or he just comes right out and says it. Does Trump Jr. truly know how well/unwell Biden is, or is that just the way politics is played these days?

And I didn't say that Sybil was a documentary. It was based on an actual person though.

At least you admit a work of fiction shouldn't be used as a psychiatric case study.

I mean it was kind of scary. He appeared to be seriously mentally disabled. It's hard to believe a professional campaign team would put that out there.
