I may be in the wrong here and you will likely have an opposing perspective but there is a significant difference in the two. Walker has been diagnosed with mental health issues. Biden, as far as we know, has never suffered with mental health. In that way, it is like calling your friend a retard when he is slow on some trivial matter. But nobody with any self awareness would call someone with mental disabilities a retard. Similarly, when my friend is put into a boot after foot surgery, I'll tease him with "peg leg" digs. I would never say that to an acquaintance who lost his foot to cancer or the war.
If we could, as a society, treat mental health the same as physical health and remove the social stigma maybe we would still have people like Robin Williams alive and well.

If he ever enters politics or actually takes a coaching job at UT I think a case can be made that there is evidence.

Look at their recent Senate candidates across the board. Walker connects more with the average Georgia voter than any of them 🤷‍♂️

That's the thing. I don't know why he wants to do it. I don't really think he's the best guy for the job. But in Georgia, he's the epitome of cult of personality. The dude is flat out revered down here and Donald Trump will show up and raise an absolute %&$ ton of money for him.

To the contrary, many republicans have certainly questioned and mocked the mental state of the health secretary while democrats cry intolerance. In this case, the roles will be reversed, because each side will do what is politically expedient.

There are many ways this could go bad for Herschel Walker. Per The American Psychiatric Association, relapses into alters from dissociative identity disorder, are most likely to occur during times of severe anxiety and/or stress. The last thing he should be doing is running a high profile political campaign for the first time in his life.

I don’t think it’s a particularly good idea either, but I don’t really know his health status beyond reports from 5-10 years ago.

I'll ask you again, should everyone with previous mental illnesses be excluded from holding public office?

@hog88 is trying to paint a specific psychiatric disorder with a broad brush. Should everyone who has been diagnosed with multiple personalities / dissociative identity disorder or paranoid schizophrenia be barred from running for public office? Hell yes. These are severe disorders of mind and brain for which there is no known cure.... just advanced treatment.

Public offices are NOT filled to the brim with people who have been diagnosed with the specific disorder that Herschel Walker has been diagnosed with. This is a lame attempt (because of political partisanship) to diminish the very serious and incurable mental disorder that he has admitted to having.

I also propose that Herschel I or Herschel II are both smarter and more capable than any Dem currently in office.
