Hey coach worshippers...

Where did I say that? I'm just saying there's nothing comparable to Saban at Bama and CBJ at Tennessee. Nothing.

In Saban's first year he lost to Louisiana Monroe.

In CBJs first year everyone is freaking out because we played a close game with South Alabama.

That sounds very comparable to me.

And why do people keep making references to firing CBJ in this thread? The OP was speaking of criticizing a coach when criticism is or may be due. OP never said CBJ should be fired.

Saban won a national championship at LSU and CBJ hasnt. No comparison.

When Saban was Butch's age he had won nothing of note; Can we at least give this new staff a whole year or better yet, two, before we start to judge them!

It was. Just kidding around.

You know posters in this this thread are contributing to the delinquency of a delinquent poster.....his dislike for CBJ is annoying and not very supportive of UT Athletics.

Some fans just need to take a 2 yr break. They don't have to root for other teams but some fans have turned this into a soap opera.....drama, irrational comments and threads.

I have no idea what these type threads accomplish except for stirring up emotions.

If anything it just shows how diverse our fan base is and not necessarily in a good way....do we really have the best fans? I am not so sure.

More worried about the attendance. Expect it will be down next few years but will it return? Fickle? Not really? Some just don't know better.

This period has been pure hell...much worse than the late 70's early 80's.

The only thing that matters is that CBJ has the attention and respect of the players/recruits, I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Coaches are not sox. We can't change them everyday (or once year if you are a Gator fan) We need to keep a coach long enough to rebuild the program. Plus the coaching changes are doing a number on the schools finances.

Even more reason to give CBJ a chance. If a guy who's already won 1 NC can lose to a Louisiana Monroe, in his first year with a new program....

Then why freak out when our new hc plays a close game to South Alabama?

Give the man a couple of days.

You seem to question anyone who is off topic from you. Thought you might be in charge.

I was responding to someone's post. I say again is this not a chat board? The last time I checked it was and it was appropriate to respond to others posts.

Not freaking out at all but I do believe that some criticism of the staff is warranted which doesn't mean or imply that anyone should be fired.

Sir, I have new information. May I post it? It's not what you're talking about though.

I think we should judge them from week to week... but no one should be so stupid as to call for his job til after year 3 if he's not getting it done.

There is plenty of that stupidity around here at the moment. Just look around.

It's funny that the posters that took a wait and see attitude in the off-season were called nega-vols, trolls, whatever.

Now, the ones that went full Butch are now using terms like "Year 0" and "the cupboard is bare". "You can't expect Butch to win with this roster."

So which is it? Fans typically swing way too far from the middle (positive or negative), especially in the off-season.

UT is 3-2 which was expected. What wasn't expected is UT looking lost on the field. Personally, I thought Butch's discipline would keep this team in some games with the potential for an upset. That simply hasn't happened.

I was sitting in the stands at UF at halftime with UT trailing 17-7 thinking maybe there was 15% chance UT could pull out that win. It's frustrating as a fan to feel that your team has little to no shot when they're only down 10. That's what I had hoped would change under Butch and, so far, it hasn't.

You can throw out the talent argument in the USA game. They've been playing football for five years. Not FBS football for 5 years, but football, period, for five years. If they have better talent than UT, it might be time to rethink our approach to football from the top down particularly the top- not the coach top. The top top..

I don't know who Worley trusts, maybe none of them. He doesn't seem to have a chemistry with any of them in all honesty. North or Croom would make the most sense to me because they have the frames to go up and battle for the ball. Croom did have a breakout game.

I think if you could get Worley and at least one reciever to get on the same page the others will fall in for now I compare it to the 2010 Oline. No one in charge. No team belief and so despite talent being available we aren't capitalizing. Add in below average QB play and it gets ugly quick.

Worley trusts the ground and the first three rows of the bleachers.
