Firing MH?? MH is the one that brought CBP here to begin with. The only thing that he has made a mistake on is the Kiffen debacle. He has hopefully taken appropriate actions to keep the NCAA off our back in the future.

The only thing the public sees or pays attention to is mainly the games, i.e. basketball, football, baseball....
MH has brought the university a tremendous amount of money in marketing and other areas other than just games. The amount of money brought into the athletics has went up by almost 40% in the last 7 years. That is the reason we've had the money for these "modern" renovations done to TBA, and Neyland stadium.

it depends on what the NCAA does with football and if they levy additional penalties to the basketball program.

3 football coaches in 3 seasons. 1 who possibly committed recruiting violations that could land us in trouble with the 'AA.

A basketball coach that just had the hammer dropped on him for lying to the 'AA.

A baseball coach that many people think should already be gone.

A moron for an AD.

I have a feeling we are going to get hit hard in both programs, which is the real reason why UT is backing out of the games with NC over the next 2 years.

If HAmilton did know about this and let Pearl get way with it, then yes I do think we should fire him.

I don't like HAmilton, I think he is more worried about money than UT.

I do give him credit for the Dooley hire. But he is responsible for the Kiffin debacle with such an easy buyout clause and finding the nutcase to coach us in the first place. I think he got lucky with Dooley, nothing else.

While Pearl has done some good things for UT, that does NOT mean that I'll condone him for this. This will set our basketball team back and that is NOT good. It begs the question, was Pearl a good hire or not?

Maybe revenue on sports has gone up for UT, but that is because he is raising ticket prices for students and making the Tennessee Terace, while that gives more money in the long run it also reduces the amount of butts in seats at NEyland Stadium. You call that good?

you have a "feeling" and it's the reason we're backing out or we're backing out to lessen the blow of the sanctions that you're just "feeling?"

The only thing that could be worse would USC-type sanctions on the football program...and we don't know what will happen there.

Hamilton should be fired tonight quite honestly. It's time to move on and find someone competent (and no, not Phil Fulmer).

It could be SMU circa 1988 (I think)....:)

Really, at this point I'd be fine making Fulmer interim AD as long as there was a legit search for a real one.

This is an absolute embarrassment to UT Athletics on every level!! Hamilton has GOT TO GO!!! That's all I will say. I really wanna puke.

We need Shay to come through for us. He can recruit on December 23, and Tony Jones can start off campus recruiting on June 23. Lets get these guys on the phones. But not too much.
