If you're dying for excuses, don't bother with pretending you know your ass from your ear. Just make em up.

Wonder why he trotted him out there to punt later?

You are too stupid to insult. I won't even bother trying to answer the utter stupidity in your question.

The line played well.

The backs played well.

The defense played well.

Dobbs is the reason they lost (not bashing the guy).

Please explain to me how AWFUL QB play doesn't affect the gameplan? They lost because Vandys QB isn't completely inept.

All excuses ever are legit. They're also indicative of losers. Winners don't have to make them.

Cut out the BS, we're fans. It's the job of the coaches and players to not make excuses, but we can do whatever the hell we want. As a fan who doesn't have his head up his ass, I'm going to acknowledge the reality of the situation. I will keep making excuses, simply because they're true - otherwise, I would just be lying.

Umm, having a kicker pass it on 4th and 19 is squarely on this coaching staff. Then the next series with under five minutes to go we punt on 4th and 2 when we really needed a score. But instead Vandy drove the ball 90+ yards for a TD.

Not punting in that situation would have been even dumber than faking the FG. You even suck at being an e-coach.

I really believe when the favored team gets beat the only excuse is coaching. We have better players than vandy, and home field advantage. But the coaches made some horrible calls. I know Neal did good, but on short yardage situation lane is clearly the better back. The fake field goal would've been great if they had to get shorter yards, and if itwas a run. Not a good call on 4th and 10+. 99% of the time the coaches were playing not to lose, and it bit them in the ass. Dobbs is terrible and won't be our starter next year.

Um... because Dobbs completed nearly as many passes to defenders? Its pretty easy to comprehend.

That is right. Dobbs is playing because Worley and Peterman are hurt (I don't believe that Peterman is healed completely), and Fergie was injured when Dobbs took over. Dobbs wouldn't have seen the field if Fergie was healthy for the Bama game.

I love the passion and energy of jones. The coordinators lack any creativity and with two weeks to prepare.... Inexcusable. Being in some new coordinators (especially that haven't already been fired from sec teams).

Seriously what excuse is there for todays performance?

Well it could have something to do with the fact that they are the better team at this point. The teams they have beaten speak for themselves as do ours. But to you geniuses we should hammer a team that beat us by 25 last year with 2 NFL type receivers on offense. We don't have 2 CFL type receivers and a true freshman starting qb. We still had a chance to win nonetheless.

Dude this was bad coaching. If the entire secondary is out you take advantage of it. We didn't. In a close game you go for a field goal on 4th down. We didn't. We were supposed to be the better team and beat vanderbilt. We didn't.

DOBBS COULDN'T HIT THE BROADSIDE OF THE BARN. This same crap kept coming up when Worley sucked. When Worley played well things opened up and they scored points. Geez how hard is that to fathom.

Fake fgm..don't throw the ball....ko return...prevent d....all coaching

Not to mention when you have 4 receivers on the field and have them spread then and you don't auidible out to a run play, and on a critical 3rd & 3 you run a bunch formation where it is impossible to pick up two much less 3? Fire the whole dam bunch!

Well.........we can no longer say we have only lost games we were SUPPOSED to lose. This was just a poor executed and played game. The reason I put this on Butch and staff is because I expected these players to come out after competing against teams with far superior talent and at the very least be able to keep up with the Vandy talent. We didn't. That tells me these guys have not progressed throughout the season. I understand that we are working with a backup QB, but he has certainly not improved at all. His TD to INT spread continues to grow, and not in a positive direction. And I will single out a single decision that Butch continues to stick with that I do not understand, and it hurt us badly on a 3rd and 1, is his insistence in giving Neal the bulk of the carries when Lane is the superior back. Neal is going to get some yards and he will get his 1000 yards this year, but considering there are times that a D-Lineman could tackle him with a solid fart, why would you not put Lane in there to fight the way he does for his yardage and crack skulls as he goes through that line.

With that being said, I do believe that Butch is going to look a lot better once he gets his recruits in. I know it's hard to believe, but getting solid talent on your roster tends to make you a better looking coach. He has team full of pieced together recruiting classes that were brought in by different coaches to serve different purposes. I expect to see a great deal of improvement, just as Cinci experienced between Butch's first and second year there. I expect a good 7-8 wins next year and more importantly we are going to see some young players getting some good experience for the future and we will see the guys that will be coming back for sophomore, junior and senior seasons that are seasons and acclimated to Butch's demands. We are going to be ok. That still does not help me right now and I feel like I am going to vomit because of the season in general and what just happened. I am not too bothered by James Franklin. Let the guy have his time because it will be short lived. I feel guilty about saying this, but I am just ready to get through the Kentucky game with a win and ready for football season to be over. My doctor is already concerned about the amount of anxiety medication I am going through and my liver is getting clogged up with Guinness. I am just really glad that our games are played on Saturdays because if I didn't have church to go to to pray for peace of mind after watching this team, and the teams from the past years, I think I would have thrown in the towel by now.

You're right. What Bajakian did was effective and got us the W.

It is the fire every coach mentality that has us here in the first place. We lost by 25 last year to VU. We had two outstanding wr's and a very good qb on offense. We have zero outstanding wr's this year and a true freshman qb and lost by 4 yet you want to fire the coaches? You simply aren't very bright.

The defense was fine so that was wrong.

Dobbs had 4 completions and 2 picks. How freaking creative did you want Jake to get?
