Ever since Lane Kiffin has been a Head Coach (NFL and College) we have been in turmoil.

(2007- 2008) - Fulmer on his way out of coaching - Kiffin on his way in of coaching

(2009) The Curse officially starts

(2010 - 2012) The curse is stronger than we could imagine

(2013) BUTCH IN/ KIFFIN OUT?

So who could have put this spell on TN? I'm putting my money on the late AL DAVIS!

Where did I compare our situation with Alabama? I wrote that every coach who has won a championship in the last 20 years has won 9 games by year 2. Can you not read? It's not a "freak occurrence". It is EVERY COACH FOR THE PAST 20 YEARS.

You don't get 4 years to start winning big. It doesn't happen. No one is pulling in top recruiting classes after years of mediocrity. You have a very narrow window to improve the talent of your roster, before you have to start competing. I'm sorry, but no sane person is going to give this guy a pass for 4 years. The only people who would do that are the morons who argued that Dooley just needed more time.

I supported Lane Kiffin and Derek Dooley but I was never a big fan. Kiffin had a "history" and Dooley had no history both of which caused me to doubt them. As for Butch, his history is winning and I was far more excited about him on day 1 than either of the other two. GO VOLS

The funny thing is: I was watching the game with my brother and I was defending CBJ for running the clock out because at that point our offense wasn't clicking. WKU was allowing us to run the clock all the way down on the previous two plays and I doubt they would have called a timeout, but you never know.

I've caught a lot of crap about being a troll and a CBJ hater. But the original comment stemmed from the ridiculous op and why we love this guy so much. You would think we would be a little more careful dishing out the love after our last two coaches. That's all I'm saying

I was visiting my brother at USC this weekend and the game ended with the entire stadium chanting "Fire Kiffin". I was sitting next to a bunch of recruits and their faces were priceless. I already know a 4* D-linemen decommitted this morning. Made me so happy

They called a timeout after second down. It's a sure bet they would have after third down.

I'll have to watch it again. But if what your saying is true then I feel like I've made a mistake in blaming the coaching. I felt like western was content to go into halftime and we handed them a touchdown.

You are allowed to feel how you feel and I can tell you your Rediculous if that's how I feel. I still don't see the 100% from the change in palardy but whatever makes you happy volly. Will you still feel the same way if we go 5-7 again. How much time will you give him. Because most people only have about a two year tolerance on this board

See, there you go bringing others into this, "most people". :eek:lol: Not sure why you want to ridicule my opinion when you aren't willing to talk me about my specific opinion, but that's cool I guess.

And for the record, I want us to get to a bowl game this year to get the extra practices. Hell, I want us to win every game we play! But I'm more interested in the progress of the players than the record of the season.

So I was rewatching UF game and I noticed the fast paced offense hurt UF just wanted to hear some other thoughts as to how much that helps us and will we actually start picking up the pace vs UF be cause I don't see it helping against oregon

Yes he has, but this is the SEC where half of the teams don't get to claim the championship. Only 1 does.

Can Butch get UT there? I hope so. He seems to have changed the attitude with the team.

However, the Brick By Brick theme is really for the fans to temper expectations. In that regard, he's fighting an uphill battle.
