I am sorry, I want us to get a new offensive coordinator

I am fine with Nico. He has really turned it on the last 3 games or so. I think the issue was all the premature hype around him and that wasn't just Tennessee fans, a lot of it was the media.
I agree, I think Nico is doing good to great at times, you're right the premature hype and the fact he was one of the 1st highly broadcasted NIL deals, some saying the 8 Million $ man made the driveby fans have unreasonable expectations.

Brother don’t call yourself names either. We are supposed to be debating and having fun. I’m sorry if I push your buttons to far.

But you gotta relax my guy. I’m sorry about your bad week, but name calling strangers and belittling them won’t make it better.

Legit prayers for you. I’m sorry. 🙏

Thanks... probably should have not posted OP, it was during a time of the game where the game was in doubt and after suspect play calls again.

I guess no harm sharing issues, I know it is silly to some but we had a cat get out earlier this week (still not sure). I found it but then it ran off again. Cat is very small and has been declawed so we are all worried about it. I went and searched hard for it in 1Q and came back empty handed so was a little flustered. Not good time to post.

I know one thing. When you are getting 5 yards a clip, and it's 3rd & 1, You Run the damn ball. You don't call a pass play that takes so long you get an ineligible man downfield that puts you in a 3rd & 6! Hell far.

Doubt any change will be made. However, if UT intends on keeping this thing on an upward trajectory, the Offense better get fixed. Players like to score. And score. If you have a Ferrari, drive that sucker!
33 pts last night. Good problem to have if we are needing an offense to get “fixed”

So your frustration is with the defense of state and no acknowledgment of playing a backup QB for the entire second half. Got it. As I said, we scored 33 pts for an offense that needs “fixed”.

Toledo scored 41 and Florida 42. Are they world beater offenses? Are their offenses better than Tennessee?

Also both did it in Starkville.

The conversation was about the overall play calling this season (and last to some degree with the new OC) sorry you missed that. That's all for me on this.

The issue is that you get one extreme take or another. It was a mistake for me to make this thread in the first place. I do agree that fans like me need to be patient at times and not make emotional threads during the middle of a game (especially with personal stuff lingering over my heads) but I also think you have people that are in denial about play calling at times.

Go Rockets! They are on par with UGA under your logic of zig zagging points.

No one is confusing Toledo as a better offense threat than Texas and Tennessee. But please, continue with your caps.

You are the one bragging about the # of points we put on Miss State. I called you out on it. Why not get into the specifics of the offensive play calling itself and not focus on we put 33 points on Miss State? We put 14 on Arkansas.

The run game is so vanilla. Hand the ball off up the middle. Not utilizing the outside at all to let Sampson utilize speed. Very frustrating to watch.
We’re one of the top teams in the country in rushing, your crying over the 1-2-3 yard carries but your not appreciating the 7-8-9 carries along the 15-20 yard gash runs Sampson starts getting in nearly every game in the second half. GBO

Saw that point and offered the knowledge of many here now seeing the effect of Hyatt in the offense. I’m sure you understood the impact he had on opening the playbook with his ability to stretch a team. Allowed Bru and Tillman to get better matchups and no need to mention the loss of Fant. It’s just simple play calls.

This is example of numbers vs. eye test. Look at the run game in the red zone. Take that drive where we got the INT and the ball on the ten yard line and then ran 4 straight times to give the ball back to Miss State with a goose egg. That is an example of the frustrating play calls.

Our offensive woes have been a discussion point all season. I don't understand the denial posts about it when the media and others have openly discussed Tennessee's offense. I think we do a decent job moving the ball but we definitely have red zone woes and challenges converting the yards to points.

Yes, we had 33 pts. Sorry we won! Called me out on what? Somehow you believe a zig zag of a game weeks ago has bearing on last night. That’s not how that works guy. As I said, nobody is confusing Toledo with Georgia because they score the same points and nobody is confusing Texas and Tennessee as lesser teams. Again, sorry we won.

You are arguing my point though. We shouldn't have an offense that is reliant on just Hyatt.

You want a great example of what I am talking about, go watch the Arkansas vs Tennessee game and watch the play calling from Arkansas. Arkansas was far more creative. Florida has been more creative to, go watch that game.

Now some teams haven't been. I think Alabama ran a pretty vanilla offense against us.

Don't apologize! There is reason to question the play calling, as I alluded to last night, 3rd & 1, run the ball! It will take a great game by ALL players and coaches next week; Uga off the embarrassing loss? Every play call needs to be the right one. That is always my concern not the LAST Game, but the Next Game. So many Fans bask in the sunshine of today's result, but that is now History. Past success is to be celebrated but it is the past.

You seem to be in denial. So we put up 33 points. What does that mean? Nothing. That is the first time all season, in SEC play, that Tennessee put up 30+ points and it was against a team that was 2-8 and 0-6 in SEC play.

Iowa won 10 game last year and fired their OC because their offense was DREADFUL. Should Iowa have kept their OC because they won 10 games?

You can win games with an elite defense and sub part offense. It has helped that Tennessee has played only one SEC team that has a winning record so far (Alabama).

Granted, we have a freshmen QB and our OC is still new. I can buy those arguments but you can't deny we have issues.

Alabama's offense is simple. Run Milroe, throw it to Williams. Tennessee had the answer to both.
