Bingo.Exactly... a lot of noise will be made, but ultimately nothing ever changes. This time will be no different. And the same idiots who cry over government overreach when it comes to gun control... will say nothing about the state of Georgia banning water bottles from being handed out to people waiting in line to vote (even if those people are on public property at the time).
I’m an engineer not an English major but seems to me adding “essential” would mean the important ones like maybe the first four identified in the constitution and temporary would mean even for a short term situation like after terrorist drop the twin towers so how does the left think adding the two words makes it better for themHow The World Butchered Benjamin Franklin’s Quote On Liberty Vs. Security – TechCrunch
Despite its many (many) variations, this is the actual quote:
Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
I see you're dead set on being stupid so, I'll ask you in a different way. Maybe, you'll finally feel so ashamed that you'll just admit you're stupid. You are for the banning and limiting firearms in order to make children safe. You feel so strongly about it that you'd limit my ability to get firearms as well. The evil ar15 is the main tool of the killing of all these children. Because of this, you'd prevent me from buying one. Is this right? So why would you not ban handguns instead of the ar? They kill far more people, so many more that it's not even close. Why not vehicles? They have been involved in mass killings. Do you only care about mass killings that your god politicians tell you to care about?Inapplicable example. The government can revoke a person's driving privileges. And that kid didn't use a car, he used a stockpile of arms that he should not have had access to in his mental state.
Any objections to making tanks, military drones, missiles, etc. available to the masses? They're just as lifeless as guns. They're just tools. If that's your sh*tty line of reasoning there would be nothing that could be withheld from people.
This is a photo of citizenry who sure as **** wished they had the right to protect themselves from their own military

No, I would expand a background check to include safeguards against selling guns to people with a history of mental illness. The July 2011 Aurora, Colorado movie theater shooter, James Holmes, had been involuntarily institutionalized following a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia. He should not have been legally able to purchase a firearm... but he was, and he did - a bunch of them.I see you're dead set on being stupid so, I'll ask you in a different way. Example, the mass murders via knife (sword) in Great Britain where people defend theirselves with sticksMass shootings are not a gun issue. If guns were never invented, some other means of killing would be used. Since the government don't really care about its people, they use things like guns and race to divide the populous. If anyone is stupid enough to support our government and what it has become, they have little value to our society
So, you'd let me have a full auto ar with a silencer without a ridiculous tax stamp if I could pass a background check? No, I would expand a background check to include safeguards against selling guns to people with a history of mental illness. If you are not a felon, and you have no history of mental illness... I don't give a **** what advanced weaponry you possess. Go full on Burt from Tremors and be a survivalist for all I care...So, you'd let me have a full auto ar with a silencer without a ridiculous tax stamp if I could pass a background check?
How about providing an ID to vote? Making it illegal to charge money for those background checks? If the answers yes, I'm pretty sure you can be classified as far right....If you are not a felon, and you have no history of mental illness... I don't give a **** what you own. Exactly as I thought.
Dig around in post history, call out someone's business, roll around saying LoVe Ya NeIgHbOr so prove it.
Unless you're just being an ass, which is my assumption.
If you want private transfers background checked, if it's that important to you and you want support for them they'd need be free. Else the 2A can just keep it unlimited and you can whine about it. How about an ID to vote, you down with that? You pay for everything. That is life in America. Have you ever walked out of the DMV without paying for something?
Sure thing... Alabama just lost. I'm in a good mood. LOL.If you want private transfers background checked, if it's that important to you and you want support for them they'd need be free. Else the 2A can just keep it unlimited and you can whine about it. How about an ID to vote, you down with that?

You make a good point. We should have that available to us.Any objections to making tanks, military drones, missiles, etc. available to the masses? They're just as lifeless as guns.
