Invitation to USU Fans

Regarding the smallest guy ever on the field, your 5'7" 145lbs, midget. I haven't myself but take a look at the South Carolina middle school kicker. I saw him at the game last year and was stunned at how tiny he was. He honestly looked like a middle school student. I thought he was a mascot or adopted kid for team morale or due to some kind of make a wish thing. Then the imp trotted out to kick. I didn't even know Tinkerbell had a leprechaun-fairy mixed magic cousin. But there he was, mythical status notwithstanding.

UPDATE: Looks like I'm dead wrong about the guy's size and all. i could have sworn I saw a Fellowship of the Ring dwarf clone in uniform at the USC game. Must be getting old and senile and the ceremonial peyote sessions cooking my brain.

JoJo does look like a hobbit and can be as hard to find as one, IMO. As per this whole debate regarding talent; I think every honest fan will concede that Tennessee has superior talent and plays superior competition. There is room to develop talent, and that's what USU has been doing- getting the most out of our terrible MWC talent and getting a few guys drafted:

2012: Bobby Wagner (LB), Robert Turbin (RB), Michael Smith (RB)
2013: Will Davis (CB), Kerwynn Williams (RB)

I would never claim to have as many draftees as a school like UT-Knoxville, but we do have some good individual talent, even if it's not acknowledged by fans here.

Because it isn't. Do you think there isn't a single QB in a mid major conference than yours? Or RB? Or center? Or corner or linebacker or safety? You really think your OLB is better than fackrell just because he had more stars in high school? Chuckie keeton is on the heisman watch list but Worley is better? They'd both start over EVERY. SINGLE. PLAYER. on your entire roster.

I think he conceded QB to USU. We don't know what we have at that position.

Chuckie Keeton is a very good college QB, an excellent athlete. He may be on a Heisman "watch list", but he ain't sniffing that trophy chief....and the number one reason is because of the team he plays for and the conference he plays in. He could somehow come back from that knee injury Adrian Peterson style and put up monster numbers and he's still not getting anywhere near Manhattan in early December.

Btw, USA Today did a preview of Heisman trophy candidates for 2014 after last years presentation....your boy Chuckie didn't make the list.

Curt did not play a single snap last season. Not a good argument at all.

I'm taking Keeton over anything we have and Maggitt over Fackrell.

Translated: I've never seen fackrell play, I don't know anything about him. But I'll take the guy who was so injured his missed an entire year over him because he has orange on instead of blue.

We do have a really small guy. Jojo natson is that size. He's a slot WR and is pretty good. He's fast. Was one of the best players in Florida in high school but wasn't recruited because of his size. He also has really good hands. If he gets hit hard, he can certainly be hurt. But it's hard to get him solid because he's so little.

You do realize our MLB is the leading tackler in the SEC correct? Our OLB you are talking about had a great season before he was injured. How else do you think he remains that high after missing a season?

It has already been said but I'll say it again. Put him against the guys maggit sees week after week and see what happens.

I seem to remember the year before he was injured a pretty good mid conference team at the time hadn't heard of him. Also seem to remember them having a senior qb and a top draft pick cb. What happened in that game? Oh yeah, it was ugly.

He'd still be the same player. The nfl ranking isn't based on his easy SOS. Bobby wagner is seeing how he does against top talent every week. He's doing fine.

Big whoop about being the leading tackler. He plays the position that gets the most tackles on the entire field. I assume you mean AJ Johnson and by the top tackler you mean 5th.

[Woodsman you have a way with words. Now that's funny!!

Was just commenting on football playing dwarves and gnomes. Brave little folks, somehow unconcerned about being mistaken for a dung beetle or roach and getting stepped on. Or being picked up and tossed at someone's little sister just to give a her fright.

First and foremost I'm so exited for this game. August can't come soon enough.

Even though I'm a die hard USU fan, I've always had a ton of respect for The University of Tennessee. I love Neyland Stadium, it's definitely one of the top 5 venues in the country for College Football, and I'm stoked that my Aggies get a chance to play there. I also do not like the Florida gators......at all. And anyone who cheers against them is a friend of mine.

Hey if any of you have any questions about our team whether it be the health status of Chuckie Keeton, positions battles, strengths and weaknesses of our team from an Aggie's perspective, or just any common question about our program, feel free to ask me.

I do have a quick question, how many staters from the offensive line does Tennessee have returning? I've watched Jalen Hurd play, and he looks to be a future star, but he's going to need a quality line in front of him.

Starters on the offensive line? Funny you should ask.

Zero, but I'm guessing you knew this already?

Lol Maggit and Johnson are better than any LB on your roster. Sorry but they just are. They play the big boys EVERY week and have earned their stripes since they walked on the field as freshman and both led the team in tackles with 80 a piece.

To be honest I heard a rumor that that was the case, but that was from a Utah State fan, and I figured you would know better than either of us. I just wanted to be sure. Thanks for answering my question. Are the projected starters incoming freshman or returning backups?

Actually no, I didn't. Thanks for answering my question. Are the projected starters incoming freshman or returning backups?

LT- Probably Dontavius Blair, a prototypical sized LT fresh out of JUCO. An absolute mauler but has to work on his conditioning a lot over the summer. JR

LG-Marcus Jackson, probably the best lineman we have, very solid, has played some but redshirted last yr to save a yr of elgibility RS JR

C-Mack Crowder, also played some last yr, supposedly has stepped up as the leader of the OL, a little undersized but tough IMO
JR or SR

RG- Kyler Kerbyson, has some experience but mainly at RT, good size JR or SR

RT- Coleman Thomas, True Freshman, very versatile, can play anywhere on OL but young, some of us think he will be a lot like Barrett Jones for Bama
