iPhone

Chrome is my preferred browser on Windows. I have it on my Mac but rarely use it there. Mostly just sync my bookmarks from Safari every now and then so if i need to use another Windows machine I can easily pull them up. I don't like Safari on windows, and bookmark syncing requires icloud install on Windows, but love it in OSX and iOS.

Playing with mobile Chrome right now. It's a little choppy compared to safari. I like being able to swipe between tabs although it's a little to easy to do accidentally.

I actually use the reader and reading list features in Safari quite a bit. Doubt I will make a permanent change.

I have had an otter box defender on my phone ever since I got it, it protects it well I am just getting bored of it and want to try something new, plus it doesn't show the screens awesomeness. I feel the otter box screen protector makes it hazy, I had a steinhill on my incredible and it looked like it wasn't even on there.

Please post up your favorite cases that you use and recommend, pics would be great as well, thanks!

I have this..,,

CaseCrown Lux Glider Case for Apple iPhone 4 and 4S (AT&T, Sprint, & Verizon compatible) - Black Obsidian:Amazon:Cell Phones & Accessories

It has a very slight rubbery feel for a nice grip but isnt the type of rubber that collects lint on it. My only complaint is that it can slide off a little too easy when pulling it out of your pocket. I tend to slide it off often anyway to wipe away the dust from the edges.

My wife had a white one that was more metallic but she dropped it too many times and it cracked around the corners. Hers did fit extremely snug.

They come with a screen protector but I never use them. The gorilla glass is plenty durable. Before I got an iPhone I used to carry my iPod touch around all the time. In 3years I only got one little barley noticable scratch on glass.7 I just make an effort not to put my phone and keys in the same pocket.

I have an iPhone 4, with the hard case I got at the store. I'm looking for a belt attachment I can use with it. Any suggestions? I don't care if it is rubber, hard case, etc. Just looking for something I can attach to my belt.

I did a search online but I can't tell if I need to take off my existing case. I would like to keep the hard case I currently have on the phone if possible.

I have one that came with the otterbox. The clip has broken on it about 3 times now.

Check out UAG cases, really liking mine. Btw otter box has released info on the new waterproof case called armour series

XOS Sports Mobile. You can stream virtually any SEC game in the last decade, a lot from the 90's and some from the 80's. Games aren't free though. You can either buy them or rent them. Still its pretty cool to watch an old Vol classic right from my iphone or ipad.

It's also on the ps3.

We have an Android thread & a Droid vs iPhone thread but I feel it deserves it's own thread. Anyway rumor is the next iPhone will be released next month with the usual event planned for September 12th which means pre-orders would be Friday of that week & released the following Friday September 21st. It appears that it's been confirmed that some carriers have blacked out employee vacation starting on the 21st as well. We'll see.

What's new on the iPhone 5? Too lazy to look it up.

Not sure about hardware but it's likely the screen will be bigger. Right now though everything is just rumored. The only concrete things are with iOS 6 & some of its features. FaceTime over 3G, revamped maps app with voice navigation, & improvement on some of the usual apps. I was too lazy to look it up too just off top of my head.

Heard any prices yet as far as with contracts? I heard a few weeks ago that buying it outright was around $800. I hope that's a rumor. Way out of my league.

I'm sure it will be the same as usual if you upgrade. 16 GB $199, 32 $299, 64 $399.

You cant look it up, nothing but rumors so far.

From a conversation I had with an industry guy in San Jose a couple of weeks ago:

Dual Core CPU (no Quad Core this time around )
Probably 2Gb of RAM, but thats a guess too.
4" screen, width of phone remains, will be stretched
iOS6 (who knows what improvements they've made)
3D mapping
4G
improved antenna design
new case materials (?)
new HD display
probably more storage options
Flash capable (lol)

Thats all I can remember, like I said its all just speculation right now. I'm on my 3rd iPhone and I love the thing so I've been tracking this for some time, but probably wont upgrade until this time next year.

BTW, I use the Skyfire Browser to get around the Flash limitation. It works great and you can stream UT games on your phone from Sport On Demand Live Sports Streams Online For Free

Cool. Thanks. I didn't get my iPhone 4 until last October so I'll probably wait awhile until I purchase the 5.
Skyfire browser. Is that an app you downloaded or is there a way to switch it to that from safari?

Btw, that's my biggest complaint with the iPhone; having to buy a lot of the apps. I know that there are those that are free but I just found the Skyfire browser you were talking about. All of 'em should be free.

If they were all free who would develop the new apps?

I have $9 total invested in 4 apps, and I have over 150 on my phone, I think I've got everything I need.

GPS $2
Skyfire $2
Free Memory 2.0 $1
WunderRadio $4 and it was worth every penny.

Get the Appsfire and Fizzapp apps and check them regularly for freebies. You'll be loaded up with free apps in no time.
