Is Georgia really as good as people are giving them credit for?

Bottom line is they are a great team. Well coached, talent rich, and seasoned.
We however are also very well coached, have ample talent, but most importantly have come together as a team and are playing at an incredibly high level and in truth above our expectations. This belief, “buy in”, and team first mentality is a weapon. If we play the kind of game we are capable of, Georgia will have their hands full.
My wish is to see them give their all, capitalize on any mistakes, and make them take and respond to our punches. If we play this way we can win this game. Make GA earn every shred of their reputation, if we do this we win not only the game but respect.

I’m hopeful that this highly anticipated Number 2 Volunteers vs Number 1 Bulldogs game won’t be a disappointment.

Also I’m optimistic about the realistic possibility the Volunteers defeat the Bulldogs in a close thrilling game by playing great including protect the football, win TOP so the Bulldogs defense becomes tired, and the Volunteers creating turnovers.

They are a solid football team. But, so are we. They will be the best team that we play this year and we are the best team that they will play this year. This is literally a SEC East “Championship Game”. I’m expecting solid play from the good guys in orange and regardless of the outcome I’ll still be tickled pink at the way that this season is going. I was one of the guys saying 8-4 would be a “good year”, after all.

Georgia is bad about playing down to the level of competition. However I do think we are playing better then them.

If we bring the same defense that played Saturday we are in a good spot. I don’t know what moves or schemes that Banks made—or what voodoo spell he used. But, we need it again Saturday. Much like Bama, Georgia is a team that will go down swinging but they haven’t had to play from behind this year. If we can get up by two scores it will be interesting to see how they handle that pressure. Their QB is no Bryce Young either.

They are good. But I don’t think they’re Bryce Young Bama good on offense, but their defense is better than Bamas. Plus it’s in Athens. It’s gonna be a hard game to win, but I have picked us to win every game this year so far. I ain’t stopping now. Vols by 10.

They did have to play from behind vs the Missouri Tigers in the 4th Quarter.

The Missouri Tigers failed to close to win that challenging game because the Tigers defense failed to defend so it’s unsurprising a great Bulldogs team soul crushed the Tigers in Missouri.

It’s going to be a November Saturday that Bulldogs fans will remember forever if the great number 2 Volunteers can defeat the favored Number 1 Bulldogs team that has a great defense.

True. But playing behind against us is a lot different than playing behind Mizzou. I really do feel like if we can get up by two scores or more we can pour it on. Bennett isn’t nearly as versatile as Young. Young is the sole reason that Alabama came back

I agree that if the Volunteers can get by 14 points then realistically the Volunteers could make the game an embarrassment.
Most likely Bulldogs fans won’t complain about the Volunteers continuing to score points since the Bulldogs have embarrassed the Volunteers the last 2 seasons.

Realistically the Volunteers can score more than 22 points vs the Bulldogs so it’ll be interesting to see how the Bulldogs handle adversity.

Please hear me out on this and my reasoning for asking the question that I have.

For SEC games, Georgia has played the #6 (Missouri), #10 (USCjr), #11t (Auburn & Florida), and #14 (Vanderbilt) defenses to get to their #3 offense rating at 43.1 Pts/Game average. They have also faced the #8 (USCjr), #9 (Florida), #10 (Vanderbilt), #11 (Missouri), #13 (Auburn) offenses to get to their #1 defense rating and 10.5 points against total.

I'm not saying that they are not good, just that I am not sure that they have been up against anything really challenging. For comparison sake, Tennessee has faced the #2(Alabama), #3(Kentucky), #5(LSU), and #11(Florida) defenses to get our #1 offence rating at 49.4 Pts/Game average. We have also faced #2(Alabama), #5(LSU), #9(Florida), and #11(Kentucky) offenses for our #4 defense rating and our 21 points against total.

Again, not saying that they are not good......just don't know if they are as great as everyone in the media are making them out to be. If we play like we have in the three SEC games (LSU, Alabama, and UK) we should be able to leave Athens at 9-0. Just my observations.

(Stats were from the Saturday Down South Offense and Defense charts)

Someone had to make some money off that Kent St. and Missouri game, because everything else looks like last year and indicates they are indeed that good--especially if beating Florida by 22 is their next worse win.

I will say this, they played Oregon early and we still don't know very well how good or bad the PAC is. So, their winning since that game doesn't tell us much. Other than that game, they have been tested by noone.

If both teams play their A games, I do think that it will be close and Tennessee can win. But if only one team has a good game, then both could be destroyed.

I think it'll be the #1 Vols vs #2 UGA after the CFP poll is released.

Reigning National Champions who are Undefeated...filled with double-depth 4* & 5*

YES...they are Good.
This plus they dismantled a decent Oregon team. Those boys are capable of beating us for sure, but we can and will win.

They’re not good (top 25 team), they’re great (top 10). But are they truly elite (top 4)? We are about to find out.

georgia has mashed everybody but missouri. I haven't seen any of their games, but they're obviously very good.
They looked unstoppable against Oregon. I hope that team does not show up personally. Them being banged up helps. Us having a scheme that prevents their depth from seeing the field helps more.
