Is Hopson gone.....

We will miss him if he does leave. He is a good player despite all of the criticism spewed out here. He is inconsistent, but he is outstanding at times.

BTW, I believe criticism of how one of our players performs is fair game, but the constant bashing of the kid is disgusting. After all, he chose us over others and has had some great performances.

Man, it disappoints me to see Hopson make a bad decision like this. Not for my own selfish reasons, but because he appears to be throwing his life away. Reality is, Hopson isn't long term NBA material at all. He is 1 year from earning a college degree, and having the same or better opportunity in the draft next year. Idk who gave him advice, but they did him wrong. He will be looking for work in 3-5 years.

I wouldn't worry about him. His options in life are greater than 99.9999999999999% of the people you know. He is about to graduate in three years. Even if he doesn't make it in the NBA, he can play in Europe where he will earn a really nice income. If his basketball career doesn't work out, he will be able to float a pretty nice resume around. Really nice for someone his age

Exactly the thing that bothers me about these forums. Totally classless.

You guys are such haters. Dude is a sure fire NBA player. Dude has no flaws in his game except he can't dribble, make big free throws, shoot consistently, or play great d. That's all though.

No kidding, because we all know the Lakers were winning in the mid 2000's and I'm on that Cowboys bandwagon because of all those deep postseason runs they've made over the past ten years.

Not one person on this planet would look at you and say anything but you are a bandwagon fan.

Sorry.

I believe he started a new twitter account. The new one is followed by Tobias as well.

Earlier in the day Scotty complained about having to go through and accept 700 new followers. I'm thinking he created a new account and just let whoever wants to follow him do so without his permission.

I wish him the best, but he's not going to make it long unless he gets his obvious flaws worked out.

People who are paid to formulate opinions about such things opine that he might be the best athlete in the draft. Couple that with the fact that he can shoot, and I think he'll be just fine.

Hopson's draft status is as high as it will ever be right now. His choice is to jump or stay and learn a completely new system, just when he finally seemed to get the hang of the old system. I think he is gone and Harris as well. In any case there is little guess work now days about the status by the time the decision must be made. They will not need to jump blindly. Hopson can play if you can get him the ball in motion. Give it to him posted and he is a deer in the headlights.

I agree with this. In the NBA he'll have people that can actually develop his talent. And he's got plenty of it. I don't know if he'll make the 1st round or not, but he's sure as Hell someone I would look at in the late first, early second if I was an NBA front office guy.
