They don’t worship the same god. One, you’d have to define “worship.”

They all have some, similar, monotheistic, basic notions of God. The Muslim God has been interpreted (poorly) from the Jewish God, but has altered a number of characteristics. Not the same, equals different.

Weezer you are an intelligent person. I know this from your posts. Why do you not acknowledge that biology has absolutely nothing to do with what god someone believes in? If you and all the rest of your family are Christian...but then your little half brother Ishmael makes up a god and calls him Scooby Doo...then proceeds to write his own "holy book" that contains most of the OT...but then a whole bunch of other crap that there is no record anywhere that the God of the Bible or Christ ever said...and calls it the Scoobyran....does that make God of the Bible and Ishmaels god "Scooby Doo" the same god??? So why in the world would it make the god that the bitter, rejected Ishmael created after he didnt receive a huge inheritance from his rich dad Abraham...why would it make that god (allah) the same as God Almighty??? It is dangerous to believe they are the same for the reasons I posted above. God doesnt tell people not to murder...then tell them to strap bombs to kids and they will get 46 virgins for it...what kind of God would ever even do that??? No God I would claim...what about those 46 innocent pure girls?? They live their whole lives pure for God and their reward is a 1/46th share of some garbage human who may have never done a single good deed in their entire life before blowing themselves up and killing scores of innocent women and children in a market??? That dude has nothing in common with my God...and that fake deity doesnt either.

What you said is very true. We dont get to choose who God is...He reveals who He is through scripture and we worship him. I am just a sinner...and am not a religious scholar nor do I claim to be...but it is an INSULT to God of the Bible to say that he is allah

Those who refuse to see it, that's OK. I would suggest reading both books in their entirety and then decide if they are the same God. Biology of the prophets of each religion has absolutely nothing to do with who they worship, or how. It is actually crazy to think that it does??? Logic has left the building when that is the conclusion..

I dont really have a dog in this fight but is it not reasonable to say that they worship the same god but some (or all) of them are incorrect about important details? It's not like people are trying to compare Christianity and Shintoism--the Abrahamic religions clearly have much more in common than that.

If we go too far down this rabbit hole then baptists and methodists don't worship the same god either. Or even people from the same denomination who have different theological beliefs. JMO.

Billy Graham and the Pope said Allah and Yahweh are the same God. I am going to take their word over what you or your Dad say.

Carson Newman is a Southern Baptist school. Did you happen to notice I did not include Southern Baptists in the list of denominations that believe in the Abrahamic God theory? You nor anyone else have proven anything false in this thread. You represent a minority of Christians.

It is my opinion that you have to go down that rabbit hole. The Bible must be the foundation of our theology. How can we build it any other way? Why should we build it any other way?
If we don't have God's word to man, then we don't have anything!
