After ruminating a bit I've come to what, IMHO, is the easiest thing to point to regarding Islam vs other religions and a capacity for ideological violence. Why has there never been a "Piss Muhammad"? "Piss Christ" was sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts. Comedy Central won't even show an image of Muhammad for fear of violent reprisal. They feel perfectly safe doing anything (and I mean anything) with Jesus. At the Garland TX "Draw the Prophet" contest there were concerns about what might happen. The concerns were well founded as the event was in fact attacked. (bonus fact, both shooters with rifles were taken down by a traffic division cop with his service pistol...suck on that Peterson/Israel)

There's no controlling crazy. Extreme outliers exist in pretty much everything and everybody pretty much accepts that's the case. Actual changes in action aren't usually subject to "feces happens" concerns. People don't do things when the actual risk rises above "feces happens" to some degree actual predictable risk. There are things that are not thought twice about regarding the treatment and representation of other religions and their figures vs Islam. It's not a fluke and anyone being honest understands the reason why.

You cannot detain or usurp.the rights of citizens because of their religious affiliation with a a few thousand ...or even a few million whackadoodles.

Allah is Satan of the Bible. There religion goes all the way back to Nimrod in Gen 11.

My God has asked me not to judge others. I don't like some Muslim beliefs and actions but who am I to condemn the entire religion? There are Christians in this country who kill in God's name. Besides, I'll be damned lucky if I make it to my own paradise someday.

Big O, where do you get this stuff? Have you ever read anything that had the least bit of credibility? Allah is the Arabic word for Eliom, which was the Aramaic word Jesus used for God. Get it? Allah. Eli.

Allah is the same monotheistic God that Abraham, Israel and Christians worship. There are a lot of haters who will simply not accept the truth about this. Allah is not some evil moon god.

It is irrational to blame an entire religion for terrorism by people who have bastardized the religion. Don't you think that Muslims in the mid east believe fervently that it is part of the Jewish religion to kill all Muslims? That protestants at different times have believed that Catholocism required its members to kill protestants?

Too easy to blame the religion itself in order to stoke fear and loyalty on the other side.

My understanding as well. Just as i dont pray in Jehovah's name. I use Jesus. Nothing wrong with using Jehovah, tho. Names and languages change but the Being remains the same.

I'm making a point that if you think they are all evil and mean us harm, it isn't a huge leap for someone mentally unstable to lash out like that.

I obviously agree that you can't treat them all like terrorists.

What would happen to a guy in Saudi Arabia if came out as gay, or decided to publicly announce he was an apostate? This isn’t a bastardized few, this is an entire state, and an “ally” of the U.S.. The results would be the same for any number of other countries in the Middle East. This is a theological problem and an enlightenment problem, not a bigotry problem. Just be honest about it.

Issues with Islamic beliefs that are counterintuitive to western ideals or values of freedom isn’t going to change until we admit they exist.
