It doesn’t work… it never has…

I watched Milton's first game against Bowling Green and knew he would never be good here. CJH is not the problem it was the lack of play call options.

CJH is supposed to be some offensive genius…. Well he isn’t and never has been..

Hear me out.

I’ve gone back and studied all of his 5 years coaching offense in the SEC(1 game shy) and the results are glaring. The man feast on bad teams, runs up stats and routinely gets embarrassed by the good defenses.

Here are the results when you look at his pts per game against OOC opponents(not counting bowls) vs his pts per games vs 9 win SEC teams…

CJH offenses average 44 pts a game against the lesser SEC teams and OOC opponents.

CJH offenses average 23 pts a game against 9 win SEC teams. (Keep in mind that incudes 52(bama), 45 (Kentucky) and 40(LsU) so without those 3 that’s awful.

So let’s face reality. No QB named Nico is going to make this offensive scheme better. Heck we played one good defense a year ago and were embarrassed with a a very good QB in hooker.

We have a coach that puts up big numbers against bad teams and gets his fat ass whipped against good ones. Always has and always will!

prophetic……..

Lol shocker the biggest narcissist on this site bumps his own thread to slurp himself.

Prophet who has celebrate his “victories” because he’s been wrong so many times. You want a cookie?

Give me Indiana coach and get this guy that cries on his homecoming and feast on the little sisters of the poor for stats the heck out of town !

The scheme can’t win a sec or national title. End of story

There's a reason a substantial portion of the UCF fan base wasn't upset when Heupel left. He seems like a smart guy so maybe he'll learn from the past and make changes. I never thought Saban would hire a guy like Kiffin or adopt the hurry up offense, but that zebra changed his stripes so anything is possible.

To that side of things it does appear CJH has tried to slow things down to play to the strength of the defense. Maybe that’s a good sign .. not sure

The facts are the man climbed the ladder running up scores…

79 against Delaware state in 2016 …

72 against Missouri State in 2017
68 against Idaho in 2017

All while getting his hind end whipped when he played the big boys…

Bama and LsU a year ago are his only two good games against good teams…

The scheme sucks against good defenses…
I think the scheme will allow for an exciting style of play and let us run with the elite programs in a game here or there, but like every other offense, it needs solid OL play to work. We just don't have that right now and you mix that in with an inexperienced QB....bad juju.

Heupel was a lot more successful at UCF than Gus has been.

Oh no, a freshman in his 6th start looked like a freshman.
The world is ending. We will never be relevant again. We will never see being ranked top five or even 1st with a shot at winning it all again. Gawd help us!!!!!!

Some people seem to forget how much luck went into winning the last title in 98.

To be perfectly honest, I'm not sold on our defense right now either. Way too many missed tackles and that secondary still gives me nightmares. The sooner Boo gets up to speed and on the field the better.

Our schedule has been very weak that’s for sure

Conference upgrade has to be considered there though
Joining the Big 12 gave them access to talent that they never had when Heupel was there.

According to 247 they have 22 blue chip players, only one fewer than Colorado who absolutely pasted them in Orlando last week.

What? He said we went 11-2 last year and I just corrected it by saying it was 2 years ago, not last year. Lay off the sauce, lil man.
You mad?
That’s a whole lot of defensiveness and lashing out
I know a good therapist if you’re ready to get control of that.

What would I be mad about? I'm not even sure what are you trying to get at. You clearly misunderstood what I was saying to someone else.

It’s a combination of things. Our receivers struggle to get separation. Even if they do, our OL can’t pass protect long enough for it to matter. Nico is a little hesitant, which is understandable with him being in his 6th game overall as a redshirt freshman.

We need Matthews to come along pretty quick at WR. Have got to figure out something on the OL. Elarbee has had 4 seasons to recruit and coach up his players. It’s not looking good for him. Unless they drastically improve throughout this season I would not be surprised if we made a change there. I would hope we at least consider it.
