James Franklin agrees to terms with Penn State
I'm not suggesting that he doesn't.
But if you're going to compare Franklin's accomplishments to Jones', then compare the entire picture.
Would coach cut consider vandy if offered?
Then why has YOUR fan base mocked him? Trying to justify it is a great hire has already begun with youlol: Bama fans here at my job are ready to burn the building down  Absolutely hilarious!
Then go ahead. Jones has recruited 2-3 stars that made it in the NFL and he won 4 conf titles at CMU and Cincy. Spin that all you want. He has won at every stop. He beat 8 teams with a winning record while at CMU. He beat Mich St while there. He beat 6 teams with a winning record while at Cincy beating Louisville twice along with NC State. It appears Boca's math skills are as inept as his math skills are at counting conf titles.
Frank has his Vandy resume where he beat 4 teams with a winning record in 3 years. Jones beat a better team in So Car than Frank could beat in 3 years. Any team with a pulse beat the brakes off Vandy most of the time.
So, since you quoted me, let me ask:
Did Franklin inherit a better or worse situation at Vandy than Jones did at CMU or Cincinnati? How much better or worse?
Bobby Johnson didn't exactly leave him scraps. Check out the players from those teams that made NFL rosters vs what Jones had to work with. People tend to not give Johnson much credit. He redshirted a lot of guys a lot of times.
They also went an entire season basically not recruiting.
Either way, you didn't answer my question.
Yes, and using your "better part of" it could mean 3, 5, 6 or 7 years because you use it as an out. In the last 10 years, Kiffin's 7-6 2009 season was sh*t compared to 2004, 2006 and 2007.
I don't know or care enough about CMU, Cincy or Vandy to be able to answer your question. Cincy is a better program than all 3 historically, but I could really care less. Jones won at both stops. Frank won at Vandy and took advantage of a pathetic non-conference schedule and other teams that were down. Those are facts that you can't refute.
#Vandy AD David Williams on James Franklin and Penn St. reports: "As of 1:45 p.m. Central, he is still Vanderbilt's football coach.''
Kiffin coached in 2009. That was 5 years ago champ. You just contradicted yourself. It's apparent that you don't even know what a "better part of a decade" is. LMAO.
His year was the best season in the last six. I know that this is difficult, but if you bring the other hand into your counting, I think you'll figure all this out.
Then why even bother replying to my post about the whole picture? If you like pretending that all things are equal, that's fine. Just say so instead of trying to have a conversation while your fingers are in your ears.
