I know personal experience doesn't equal fact but I'll say the people I know that are the most vocal and "upset" about this didn't serve in the military at all. The people I know that did generally are mostly indifferent, with the strongest reactions being they don't particularly like it but it doesn't really "offend" them. And some even say they wish people would stop trying to speak for them.
Spot on accuracy here

Or at least respect kneeling by others.

I mean others have to "respect heritage" when it comes to the Rebel flag, right?
I don’t think anyone needs to respect it..... just not stop it...... the university on the other hand can when you are representing them.

You and those you talk about need to get over it or don't, pull your donations and support if you feel that strongly But under NO circumstances should anyone be calling for government involvement.
I didn’t call for government intervention. Didn’t need it before and don’t need it now. I certainly believe private organizations including sports institutions can and should mandate it if their leadership decides to do it.

Why is it that privileged white America is trying to dictate how other America is supposed to feel?
Those athletes don't want your pity or think what their feeling is sad.
Honestly I could care less what your or their opinion is on the matter.

Maybe..... it didn’t have a real impressive year.... depends on if another school thinks he can..... just his first season so probably not his fault but still.
This season was going to pretty bad regardless. There were quite a few transfers, one went with Forbes to WF and another transferred to try and get a better shot at going to the league. Then another of his upper class-men guards just decided he was done after the coaching change. Only one player on the roster had any playing time experience and he didnt play much at all.

How can you or I understand the aim of their protests without having lived their life. It seems to me the protests and the reaction of redneck america is facilitating conversation which is helping.
Because they have said a lot of times what the aim of the protest is, and in almost all cases they said it’s not to disrespect the flag or the anthem. Seems like in order for them to keep protesting and “facilitating conversation” they would need for the anthem to keep being played. So kind of counterproductive. Also, labeling anyone who disapproves as a redneck is kind of part of the exercise of just making people angry and hate each other. Not really conducive to a healthy conversation
