This is what worries me about Nico. I’m going to be presumptuous here but he comes off very prima-donna and I don’t think it’s any secret that $$ was going to be a factor in his college decision making. And I’ll not single him out anymore, but all it takes is some RB or QB jumping an OL for a missed block for the block to become missed intentionally the next time or a WR to cut a route off or the QB to throw a WR into traffic etc. The difference between NIL and professional contracts is EVERYONE has a contract in the pros and it’s all really good money by normal society standards. That’s not the case with NIL.Honestly, if I were a starter on a team and busting my rear while not getting any NIL deals and other players were, I’d probably be slightly resentful. I can see this NIL stuff poisoning the locker room, especially considering the upbringing of some of these kids.
Agree and his presence on the field was missed last night.Banks is a lot better than you're giving him credit for.
we love to create drama tooWow, Just Wow. I am amazed at how quickly a seemingly high percentage of this fan base can go absolutely apes-s---e over a player issue that they only have rumors on which to base their opinions. A player who we have observed do a 180 and by most accounts has turned a negative into a positive. We may never know the whole story, but he deserves some respect for what he has accomplished to this point. Let's let this play out rather then crucify another young man. All of you Drama Queens need to do a little introspection before condemning someone else.
Best players have been getting "paid" for decades and now it all the sudden is cancerous? Not buying it..Can’t blame players for feeling slighted. NIL although a good thing, will be a cancer to college athletics.

Generally, the best at any endeavor get paid the most. Best to learn and except that early...
Yes. Banks is the only physical player who isn't a down lineman. His absence was immediately noticeable. That shouldn't be the case on a Bowl Championship team. A decent defense would have someone else step up. We don't have that somebody this year. Just like the DBs, this an area of dire recruitment needs.Banks is a lot better than you're giving him credit for.
Good Lord dude, you're bringing his fumbles as a freshman into this rumor fueled garbage...If Banks killed the season with his drama coupled with past disciplinary issues and fumbles when RB, then he will go down in history as the most cancerous player to wear the T.
it was always cancerous, but $100 handshakes/leases comes across different than TV commercials and advertised endorsementsBest players have been getting "paid" for decades and now it all the sudden is cancerous? Not buying it..

Only answer. Kid got in trouble early, cleaned up after that until whatever evolved this week. He could have transferred when things went south but stuck it out. In-state kid like Jennings who wanted to be here and win.Banks signed pre NIL and those players rarely get meaningful deals if they aren’t spotlight players like QBs. Separately Banks hasn’t been able to get a deal based on the circumstances of his arrest. They’ve been looking for a workaround for months. This week he lost it in the locker room, skipped meetings and classes. Hooker called him out, and they got into it. Banks obviously isn’t handling this well, but it’s gotta be hard for him to deal with teammates driving new cars from their NIL deals while he gets nothing. Odd circumstance. Banks being out hurt us way beyond his contributed tackles.
If what you say is true, then yes, it's unfortunate, but it's not anyone on the teams fault.Banks signed pre NIL and those players rarely get meaningful deals if they aren’t spotlight players like QBs. New rumor, from an apparent source:
Banks was playing music way to loud and Hooker went over to ask him to turn it down. He started a fight with Hooker and Milton came over and clocked him. Possibly breaking his jaw. Coach kicked Banks off team
You're kidding right? He's not a first rounder but he will be playing in the NFL.
