I guess he would be okay as long as he brings an OC and doesn't try to call the plays himself like he does at FSU.

I would rather have strong. He is proven in the SEC as a DC which in case you haven't noticed, we need some defense. Plus he can recruit Florida. But my main reason is that he would be the first AA coach for UT. I mean we are breaking a lot of firsts for Tennessee

Agree. But honestly what would anyone expect from our Admin? I speak only for myself in hoping that we only not completly screw this up. Fisher is alot better than some mentioned but I want Strong. JMO

This is a major source of criticism from FSU fans. Fisher is a micro-manager, and with the recent illness of his son, many feel he is spread too thin. This is seen in clock-management issues, communication, substitution issues. With a true OC with playcalling duties, I think Fisher might be able to better manage the team on gameday.

better than what he has already? He has SEC talent and still loses games to teams like NCSU and then gets blown out by UF. At least get a guy who didn't just coach like Dooley against one of our biggest rivals

I'd take Fisher all day. He's been in my top 5 all along and the only realistic one imo. We need someone who can recruit with or out recruit our rivals. I think Fisher can get that done.

Well if your making this argument then tennessee beat fsu this year which was a top 5 team at the time so Dooley should not have been fired

Thats why he has a winning record vs UF. NCST is not a terrible team, yes its still inexcusible to lose that game considering the talent differential. He's still the best name besides Gruden

NC St is not a good team. Did you watch UT play them? We had average SEC talent and laid it on them while FSU with better talent lost. Then their late game dive vs UF was ridiculous. Just saying, why hire a guy we know can't hang with the bigs in our conf?

I know you're dumb. But if you think that under achieving piece of garbage will win 11 games in the SEC you're dumber than I thought. Haha hell he's not going 11-1 in the ACC!
