Gruden won a Super Bowl, has a work ethic that is unmatched, is a genius with scheme and creating mismatches, would be able to assemble the best damn staff in college football, and would have top recruits lining up at the door from day 1. /argument



Miami isn't pulling anyone from UF and FSU right now, they're getting leftovers. Fisher always loses to crap teams every year. He's a good recruiter and an average coach with a low ceiling. Strong has potential and knows how to compete in the SEC.

What will certainly create friction is if Hart goes with Golden. The fact that he is even interviewing him should be enough to hire Hart on the spot!

With all these sources, is there anyone that does not have a say in this hiring? Of course most of this stuff is made up and the ones that do have a source end up reporting what I would call circular reporting.

I haven't heard anything about Gundy being back on the table but I'll check with my source on it and get back to you. Again, not trolling here....I am just trying to get you guys the most accurate information I can from someone who has deep connections. There is a lot of misinformation on this board and I feel it my duty to set some things straight.

Ok, I just texted my source about the Gundy rumor, and he said that as far as he knows it is not true. However, he said he will ask some of his sources about it.

For those talking about Gundy, he's 7-5 this year and got beat by Baylor today. If Strong and Fisher suck so bad, why would we want Gundy? SMH. They have a booster with hugh money that likes Gundy, so he's not going anywhere.

With the way sources work, it is kind of like a pyramid. You have the guys at the top, who have the direct connections to the boosters or AD. Usually it is better to have a connection with boosters bc they are more likely to talk. Then you have your second-tier sources who get their information from the first-tier sources with direct connections. Then you have the third-tier, which is people like us. My guy is a second-tier source.

my source says gruden is still a done deal, just can't say anything until after MNF is over due to contract information. AND unlike others i am willing to give my source up. gruden will be coming, you just have to wait until january so everyone calm down.

by the way my source is someone some of you may know, VN user bearcat204. he doesn't know **** as far as a source but he's still my source. TIFWIW IMO JMO etc etc

Ok guys, breaking news. I just got a text back from my source, who was just on the phone with his source. Apparently, Gundy is back on the table now after initially declining any interest in the job when Hart reached out to him. Gundy will be interviewed tomorrow, and Fisher on Monday. Also, he did confirm that Strong met with Hart yesterday and there may be a follow up interview next week if Strong is still interested.

However, my source did confirm that Fisher and Strong are still the top 2, even with Gundy back in the mix.
