Silly post. I could give my name and 99 percent of the members here wouldn't know me. That means nothing. I'm sure that I'm not the only member that's disappointed in Tee's decision.Tee, I can't believe you didn't do exactly what I wanted you to do.
The nerve of you putting your interests over the interests of anonymous message board posters on the internet.
You leave me no choice ... I'm going to have to anonymously complain about it on the internet.
Agreed. We don't need him here anyway. But you can't blame him for playing the game to get more money. One more year with Kiffen and he is out in his azz with Kiffen too and both will be job searchingok...here's the breakdowN...you guys called for tee martin for last two weeks..we tried and he turned us down...i agree with chattavol420...he used us to get a raise and his wife more pub...she aint gonna make it and it hope we dont offer him in the future...i saw his videos at usc and look at the weight gain...he DOES NOT need to get an offer from us in the future....wife runs the household and we dont need that...hope T M is reading this
Yeah, our future with Jones is so much better that we're getting coaches from all over to leave their programs and join ours.
Wait...not a single person has? Oh...
If all this is true, what was the trip to Knoxville about? Why even accept the invitation? Just say that he's happy at his present job and move on.

Maybe he wanted UT to give him a reason to take the job. I'm sure they didn't crunch numbers over the phone. In the end maybe UT just didn't have as much to offer. I'm not gonna take a job making less money & move my family over 2000 miles to do it when I'm happy where I'm at.
Good post.I've went back and fourth on the Tee situation all day today and although I don't blame Tee for staying at USC I do have a problem about how it was handled. I think Tee had let it be known to people in Knoxville whenever he got the chance he would come back in a heartbeat. I think Tee has friends in Knoxville that CBJ had communication with that told him if you reach out to him he will come. It appears Hinshaw was let go the same day Tee was offered the job which would have been the 8th I think. I obviously have no inside knowledge of exactly what went down but I think CBJ did everything he could to get Tee on the staff. From the outside looking in it looks like Tee knew he wasn't going to take the job before he ever got to Knoxville. That may not be true but that's how it looks. The financial part of the deal should have been hammered out on the phone before he ever came to Knoxville. He could have still walked away but there shouldn't have been any question about the financial side. Hell who knows what happened but I get the feeling CJB fully expected that they would be able to get a deal done. Wish it would have worked out but we still have Jay Graham.
Jones is bringing most of his assistants from Cinci. I don't believe it's because he couldn't hire anyone else. He has faith in the guys that know his system and worked for him at the former school. That happens frequently when a coach moves to another job. We're plucking our coaching staff from the unemployment line. You think USC assistants are dying to switch to Knoxville?
"Former vol tee Martin declins offer by tn to join staff". I'm so pissed that he acted interested only to turn us down. What a $hitty thing to do to us. I hope he understands that if he ever shows up here again, many people (myself included) are going to make him feel as unwelcome as possible. Screw that guy and the pos he works for. They deserve each other.

If I was going to "cop out", I wouldn't have bothered to post. I never said that he was required to come back. I only stated that we needed him now and he wasn't interested so I hope that a job here is never offered to him again. He had his chance to come back and obviously his job at USC is more attractive for some reason. You still haven't answered my question, aside from copping out. What was it about this situation that required Tee Martin to come back?
