he was coaching high school ball in Georgia 4 years ago, then moved to Kentucky and then moved to California. Maybe he feels that his kids deserve to stay in 1 place for a while to make and keep friends.
Those two situations are totally different.Tee Martin doesn't owe us anything. He gave 4 years of his life to this university and brought home a national championship. That's more than most of us have done for UT. There's no reason to bash him over staying at USC considernig we don't know the circumstances of his personal life.
Besides, if he had come to UT, leaving his previous job after only one year to go to his "dream job" would he have gotten all the hate that Kiffin received? What's the difference..
A little hypocritical.
If it was his kids that concerned him then he probably would have accepted the UT job in Knoxville so it would be easier to be a father to his kid that lives there.
That is a pretty good summary.I hate he turned us down, and he is still unproven as a WR coach but he is recruiting really good right now.. I am not mad at Tee for not accepting the job, but if he has something special at USC LIKE HE SAID and likes his job then he had no plans of ever even coming back to UT?? So why come back for one day then decide you don't want the job?? BS he knew he didn't or wasn't going to take the job when he left LA, and after the way this whole coaching search went we sure didn't need any negative crap on ESPN about us.. Tee will always be a VFL in my book, but just don't piss on my boot and tell me it's raining, he got a free trip to see family and friends period.. He could have said all that on the phone, you know thanks but no thanks!!!
I haven't stated that he owes us anything but at the same time, we don't owe him anything either.
From lex, ky to la, ca
From ky football, to a top 5 alltime program.
From basement to penthouse
Somebody really has to explain it to you?
What does that even mean? He's done more for Tennessee than pretty much everyone on this board that's getting all high and mighty and saying they "won't allow him back." He's allowed to do whatever he damn well pleases.
Lateral move to the beloved alma mater where you will be payed handsomely and treated like the legend that you are. All while you build on that legend by helping restore glory to a one time college football power.
Somebody really has to explain it to you? I can do that to.
