Just saw on espn...

Tee will always be a legd but we don't have to root for him in everything he does. I certainly do not want Tee to succeed at USC. I would not mind if they lost every game. Maybe Tee will get another opportunity to come back home.

And what if Butch Jones doesn't restore a damn thing and ends up like Dooley? Then your "lateral move" silliness goes straight out the window.
What if Lane Kiffin is fired next season? There goes the not moving again silliness straight out the window.
Come up with something better.

And why no one cares that Joe Dumbass over here has decided that he's not "allowed" in Knoxville.
I don't decide anything. I have an opinion and that's all. Learn to respect it. It's not yours but it doesn't mean that it's wrong.

Then Martin still looks great for having coached Marqise Lee and lands another great job.

How are Dooley's assistants doing right now?

If your opinion is that every former Tennessee player is obligated to come back and coach here when we want them, then it is most certainly wrong.

"Former vol tee Martin declins offer by tn to join staff". I'm so pissed that he acted interested only to turn us down. What a $hitty thing to do to us. I hope he understands that if he ever shows up here again, many people (myself included) are going to make him feel as unwelcome as possible. Screw that guy and the pos he works for. They deserve each other.

Used us for a better offer from USC... Kiffen is teaching him well.

Lateral move to the beloved alma mater where you will be payed handsomely and treated like the legend that you are. All while you build on that legend by helping restore glory to a one time college football power.
Somebody really has to explain it to you? I can do that to.

If it was really that simple, why didn't it happen?
Because its not that simple. Your mind is just to simple to understand many factors are in play, not just the ones you can figure out.

That's the point. When Jones gets fired and Martin is left without a job, all these people who said they'd "support him" or whatever won't help him one bit.
That would not have been true at all for Tee Martin had he come back.

You don't know me so watch the insults. I stop debating when it comes to that. That's why I mostly just come here and read now instead of commenting. Posters such as yourself are not mature enough to accept others with different opinions.

Do you know what his offer was? Buyout? Number of years? Do you know what he makes at USC? Maybe he & his family just like living in SoCal. Everything doesn't have to be personal. There's hundreds or maybe even thousands of coaches that have coached somewhere other than their alma mater. Same with the pros.

I don't give a ****. Go back to reading ravenheart. I'm not debating anyway. I'm telling you.

Tee, I can't believe you didn't do exactly what I wanted you to do.

The nerve of you putting your interests over the interests of anonymous message board posters on the internet.

You leave me no choice ... I'm going to have to anonymously complain about it on the internet.

If all this is true, what was the trip to Knoxville about? Why even accept the invitation? Just say that he's happy at his present job and move on.
