Pili had 4 tackles against UVA. If we cant replace that production we are in bad shape.
He really doesn't owe any of us fans any information about an injury at all. No more than "he is out right now with an injury to some part of his body and he will return when he is healed and ready to go". If the player wants to elaborate, fine. More reasons not to give details than there are to be specific.I don't buy that. I don't understand the reason he is like that. Media knows to not trust his injury comments. Fans are very quickly learning it (most should well understand it by now) that its a game he plays. So does anyone really think opponents don't know what he is doing??
He said last week that Mays would be a game time decision for Virginia BUT, Mays hasn't practiced since he had surgery almost a month ago. Hard to believe his injury comments.
I'm not one who really cares what he says about the injuries but hate to see others believe what he says or think there is a strategy to it. Just don't see the strategy part at all. Using comments to fool opponents went out the window many years ago. With the internet, the truth comes out very quickly.

Why run off talented depth?I say let him apply for another injury rs and transfer somewhere that could use him next season. Herring and carter will be grown by uga, and we ain’t bringing this guy first game back against uga, essentially just to have him for vandy.
Until he 100% KNOWS he's gone, I don't see the benefit of confirming it...cept for gamblers.I think he just needs to quit pretending like it's not a big deal when it ends up being a lot longer. I'm fine with him not wanting to share much. But with his track record I'm going to assume Pili is out most of the year.
He’s got a broken bone in his ear… the smallest one of the three. It’s called the Pili bone. Not trying to he a smart butt, but where are you all reading/hearing these things? 3 pages in & so far someone has read or heard:
He will be out 2 weeks
He will be out 5-6 weeks
He’s out for the season
Its a shoulder tear
Its a tricep tear
He’ll be back by GA
He’ll be back by Bama

McDonald is not gonna be playing Will… Stop pulling stuff out of your a$$…Unfortunate news. We need to stay healthy. Herring will slide into starting spot and will get a head start on the next couple years as a leader of the defense. Beasley can play both spots. Carter will continue to get more time and Kalib Perry will begin to be part of the 4 man rotation. If more injuries occur in this group, McDonald could play Will as we have alot of bodies to play Star.
Some guys are just injury prone. At least we get 2 weeks and a live game to work the youngsters. Just accept that mistakes will be made. As long as they're made going all out, I can live with it. Excited to see what these young guys can do. To be honest, this might be a blessing in disguise. For me, this was always a transition year. Next year Nico takes over and if we handle business in the portal, we should really be ready to turn a corner in the east. Figured injuries would bite us...just didn't expect it to be like this after week 1 but it is UT we're talking about. 8-4 was my expectation. Let's just get these youngsters ready to play and enjoy the ride. Good luck to Pili. Hope he recovers and has a chance to play again this season. If not, thanks for choosing UT.I think he just needs to quit pretending like it's not a big deal when it ends up being a lot longer. I'm fine with him not wanting to share much. And a good guy apparently. Came in from out west, bought in, was respected in locker room, and stepped up to a starter role. What a shame for this guy. Dang it.Hate that pili really passed the eye test and played well was expecting a big time year from him… confident in the ability of herring and Carter to step up though praying for a speedy recovery and no more injuries for KP going forward…
