Keep Pearl around!

Exactly. People are acting like everyone is running him out of town. Sure some probably are serious but mostly people are just pointing out obvious flaws. And please quit with the "At least it's not Buzz" bullcrap....if that's the extent of your argument skills then go crawl back under your rock. If being better than the previous coaches is your only criteria of being successful than Pearl is set for life. I would hope we'd expect more than Houston, O'Neil, Green, and Peterson.

Don't forget Devoe!

Easy on Buzz... look who his pals are:

I just want to say that I love Bruce Pearl and what he's done here. I remember listening to John Ward on the radio when Wade Houston was coach, how many remember that abomination.

I think Bruce is just now getting his foundation built and getting the guys that he wants to run his system, instead of settling for the best guys he can get to fill up a roster.

It's hard to read all these posts with people upset over 24 wins a year, eastern championships, outright conference champions a year ago. And the horizon looks very bright for this team, so please stop hating. Go Big Orange.

I think many people are just speaking in the heat of the moment, which is understandable. And I know people often throw out that we lost our guards from last year and that is part of the shooting woes; however, I think last year guard's absence is more noticeable on the defensive end. Eaton would not have driven by Ramar or Jajuan to win the game like that as he did today.

I think the players and coaches should be commended for the work that was put into the season and as a young team, learn from mistakes and work hard for next year. They will find their identity as a team and have a great season next year! Thanx for making it exciting!

Bruce Pearl has had the best first four years at Tennessee of any coach in my lifetime. The fact that fans think 'we should probably keep him' tells me all I need to know about their basketball IQ.

I'm embarrassed that discussions like this exist.

So, are you embarrassed that folks think we should keep him or that it should be a question at all? :p

I think more than anything it's a backlash against the people that seem to want the Bruce Pearl honeymoon to last forever.

I would think that the players share in that deficiency as well. We have a bunch of street ballers and no floor general to keep them under control. Man we miss JuJuan and Chris right now. I do think though, that losing Prince will do nothing but help us as a team going into next year.

While that maybe, if someone truly means to see Pearl out of here knowing that we were more than a few pieces short of a chess set, then they are ignorant.

Biggest problem I have with Pearl is the way he Disciplines players. I don't know whether to call this bad coaching or poor discipline, but to CONTINUE to let Chism shoot from the perimeter, play on the perimeter, and guard on the perimeter is IMO RIDICULOUS.

Chism should be posting up down low, shooting down low, and guarding down low....Correct me if im wrong.

Chism has range, but the problem is that the entire team seems to suffer from the yips. No one on this team has been or will be consistent until we start establishing some form of half court game in the future.

Bingo. And that's a group of people which apparently, if reports about his hurt feelings are accurate, includes Bruce Pearl himself.

Volfan you are the most ignorant person on this planet. Pearl is the best coach the university of tennessee can and will ever have........
I think Pearl has been great . . . but think about how defeatist an attitude that is.

I certainly don't believe the honeymoon of a Tennessee basketball coach can end with a NCAA Tournament appearance.
