Lady Vol Softball.

The only problem with the process was the alleged lie after the fact suggesting the administration had sought approval from women athletes and former athletes. They had no need to do that since the administrators in charge could have and should have made the change if determined necessary without approval from those holding no approval rights. The fact that they appear to have had an alleged moral failing in trying to mislead after receiving backlash just shows their thin skin. The original decision should have been dictated and supported without a need to explain. Again, though, you are not hearing the loudest crowd in favor of the change because they agree with the vision and have nothing about which to use their powerful unified Volunteer voice. I'm tired of clearing the air of this stench of misunderstanding, so I am really departing this thread for good. Best of luck in receipt of enlightenment towards peaceful coexistence.

Door, ass...well you know the saying. 'bye.

That freshman Florida pitcher is unreal. She could be very problematic for us.

Yeah and they also bring back two other pitchers....and I'm pretty sure Stewart has been there for about 9 years haha...LSU has a fantastic team coming back too

The SEC is going to be tough but I think were in the top four and if things go perfect for us we could win the league.

I'll be at the Kajikawa classic in Phoenix in February when they kickoff the season. I'll be sure and post a report. I can hardly wait!

Going to be tough is an understatement haha

Florida
LSU
Auburn
Bama
Mizzou

All those teams return a lot of good talent

Then you add a
Kentucky... with nunley
Georgia...With Wilkenson
Texas A&M...with their offense
Mississippi State...much improved
Ole Miss...Improving under 2nd year coach...new pitching coach for him is Taryne Mowatt
Arkansas....new coach
South Carolina...continues to improve

I think Auburn or LSU win this year. Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, Mizzou all contenders.

Not really a surprise as the four teams ahead of them are really good. But I hope the team has a good showing. I am excited.

They must think a lot of that freshman pitcher Florida has. She must be an amazing player.

Yeah I wondered about that too. Having to replace Haeger (sp?) would seem to be reason to drop FL a spot or two but apparently the coaches didn't think so. I think Walton has a pretty big job keeping his team motivated for a three-peat. Maybe they'll get complacent.

Regardless, Lady Vol softball is hopefully poised for a strong season and a repeat trip to the WCWS.

I think there are five or six teams that could win the league. Tennessee has some very good young pitchers coming in if they excel then we definitely have the hitting. Upsetting that we drew such a tough schedule playing at Florida, Georgia and Missouri.
Those games will decide our final standing in the league.

Tennessee Volunteers Women's Softball

Why, if all teams, "under the umbrella of inclusiveness", are "representatives of the same Power T that has been decided as the unifying symbol around which to assemble those individuals", do you feel the need to point out that they are "Tennessee Volunteer Women's Softball"?

Isn't designating the team by gender unnecessary and simply an expression of sexism?

And, in case my use of the blue font isn't enough to make it clear that I, personally, do not feel that the gender identification of any particular sports team is, in any way, sexist, I will restate my position. Since it is, in fact, necessary to differentiate between teams based on gender (at least until we start requiring that all college level sports teams are co-ed), I find it difficult to understand why the proponents of the club of 'inclusiveness" find the term "Women" or "Women's" acceptable and yet find the term "Lady" or "Ladies" so offensive.

Ladies is considered derogatory by many of today's leading feminists. Women is not considered as demeaning by these leading authorities.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls...
Sorry, gentlemen, boys, and any other sex that is non-male. I'd like to invite you to watch the upcoming 2016 UT softball season.
Would this pass the politically correct censorship? I didn't use ladies, women, girls, or female. Crap, I should have said "any other human group", instead of "sex that is non-male."
