LaMarcus Coker suspension

So some moron submitted the question to CFB Live asking will Tennessee start 0-3 now that Coker is suspended... :eek:lol:

Probably some delusional Bamer or Teddyhead...

Chances are Coker will be back before we play 3 games anyway... who knows maybe even before Cal - plus he wasn't even going to be our starter. Stupid haters better not get their hopes up..

Guarantee you that he'll toss out Coker being suspended as an excuse. He'll say it as "well, we're missing a key player and it really cost us" or something along that line. That'll come right before "those gosh darn refs".

Actually, if you read the reports, Fulmer points out some unknown medical condition that Coker has had problems with. This may have to do with what he is saying. I thought it was some drug dependency cop out, but maybe it is something else.

I myself had surgery and after about 2-3 weeks of taking Loritabs and other pain medication it was VERY difficult to stop. Your body gets accustomed to the effects and you get the "shakes" Luckily after about 36 hrs they went away. So don't make fun of the situation. Let's hope and pray that he gets this out of his system and returns to practice soon:clapping:

Had the same kind of thing w/ Percocet. When the Dr. quits giving them you dry up quick (if you choose to). If he's seeking them out by other methods then he has issues.

Wasn't making fun, just so many different speculations I really can't keep up with what is going on anymore. I hope he comes back because he is a heck of an athlete, and UT needs that gamebreaker on the field.

I think we should ask James Banks to come to talk to this young man, talk to Coker about his own career, from high profile recruiting to his suspension at school then to his release and finally to Carson-Newman and T.G.I. Friday.

I guarantee that he will not say that we lost because of Coker's suspension if we lose one of these games that he is suspended for. That is unless Foster and someone else goes down to injury or something then he may throw that in there. If they stay healthy he will not mention it IF we lose.

I like to gamble so let me know if you want to put something on it.

Narcotic addiction is very serious. Whatever his problem is, I hope that he can get the help he needs. Pain pills are very addictive and you also build a tolerance to them. So when you need them to work, you have to get stronger medication and then a positive feedback cycle sets in. He needs a ton of support right now for his health and his future. I wish him well.

If so, the Vols should possibly consider hiring Jeff Tedford. It would save a lot of time and effort for a couple of the regular posters here. :good!:
:eek:lol:qft.

yep very true, i have some close friends that have had husbands/fathers fall on some serious hard times due to pain pill addiciton that led to narcotics addiction etc....cost 'em everything....family, house, jobs.........and in both cases, they are either in jail, awaiting trial or in a serious rehab joint........serious stuff.

He is a luxury. We will still beat FLA w/o him, but with him we will stomp them.

Wow. Tell me, are there green lollipops there with you in the land of chocolate pillows, purple dragonflies, and swirly gumdrops? I mean, do you think that if you say it enough times it will come true? Like clicking your heels together ...
