Pot didn't make Jobs found anything....But the fact that he wasn't closed minded and did smoke shows that he had the ability to think for himself. Which is a characteristic that can be connected to him founding Apple. Carry on sir

If it was so great...why did he quit? Same reason myself and every other responsible adult does....We grew up and didn't want to be dope smoking losers for the rest of our lives.

I wonder how many drug tests this kid failed while at ut? Can't tell me it was just 1.

Four or more.

It was pretty openly acknowledged that some pigs were more equal than others under Fulmer which is why he had so many players show up on police blotters.

Spoken like a true addict.

Once again proving your ignorance. Marijuana has no addictive properties meaning there are no actual withdrawl symptoms like with other drugs like coke, heroin, and yes, alcohol. I could stop tomorrow if I wanted to. I might really want some, but it won't consume my life.

And for the record you can smoke regularly and still have a successful life. Its not like when you're high you can't function.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it has zero withdrawal symptoms. I smoked for roughly 2 years nearly every single day multiple times daily back when I was in high school. The summer I quit, I felt severe lethargy and brain fog as well as general malaise just about all summer. Was it debilitating? No. Was it "physically painful" ? No. Did I have this crazy urge to smoke? Not at all. But to call that "no actual withdrawal symptoms" isn't accurate either. I've had several friends confirm similar feelings.

As Oprah would say, things will change once old people that are set in their beliefs pass away. Old people are cute though

Like Communism and Socialism?

Oprah can kiss my ass when she gets done kissing Obama's and spreading lies about Americans to the rest of the world

Wrong. Marijuana has plenty of addictive properties. This is from Brown University: No one would argue that marijuana is as addictive as alcohol or cocaine. However, it's wrong to say that it is not at all addictive. More and more studies are finding that marijuana has addictive properties. Both animal and human studies show physical and psychological withdrawal symptoms from marijuana, including irritability, restlessness, insomnia, nausea and intense dreams. Tolerance to marijuana also builds up rapidly. Heavy users need 8 times higher doses to get the same effects as infrequent users.

For a small percentage of people who use it, marijuana can be highly addictive. It is estimated that 10% to 14% of users will become heavily dependent. In 2006 marijuana was responsible for 16% of all admissions to treatment facilities in the U.S. Because the consequences of marijuana use can be subtle and insidious, it is more difficult to recognize signs of addiction. Cultural and societal beliefs that marijuana cannot be addictive make it less likely for people to seek help or to get support for quitting.

If there is no problem with smoking marijuana and functioning normally, then why do most companies drug test? Let me ask you this, do you think it would be ok for a crane operator, airline pilot or school bus driver to do their job while high?

Same could (and is) said of alcohol, which is legal. IMHO, it's my business what I put in my body, not big brother's.

I would love for someone to find a study that found marijuana to be in any way harmful when its consumed (rather than smoked) in moderate amounts at infrequent intervals. You won't.

Just because it's Natural doesn't make it right.

So it's not right to use a plant that was put on earth to be used? That makes no sense. In a few years it will probably be legal in most states. And I'm not a user of the plant.

The only people who don't realize that marijuana is addictive are people who are addicted to it. Just like any other drug, it is a poison, son. A poison to your mind, body, and soul. The only difference is it is a slower acting poison that subtle enough for you to delude yourself into believing it's harmless.
