What you did say was that LA Tech didn't play anyone with top rated/SEC players, which I just pointed out isn't true.

They do deserve some credit. They play well in their system. However, in the SEC, I think they're normally a 4 loss team at best.

I'm not trying to take the wind out of your sails, just saying you shouldn't make false statements to further your agenda.

Again, I didn't mention Dooley, I was discussing LA Tech and their schedule.

If you want to annoint him a superstud, that's your business, but I wouldn't agree.

I used hyperbole. Rather than saying LT plays "no one" with top notch talent I should have said "virtually no one". But in retrospect I think of the teams you named I'd only say LSU had top notch talent. All probably superior to your average WAC school, but not top notch.

Auburn was a very good team last year. Especially when Tech got them. Boise State last year, went undefeated and won their bowl against a good TCU team.

His agenda is to bash Dooley every chance he gets, which is fine with me, unless he resorts to lying about it.

He seems like he's studied LA Tech's past enough to know that they have always played tough OOC teams, but made it sound like they only play WAC caliber competition.

Kiffin threads turn to DD threads and DD threads turn to Kiffin threads. Kiffin got himself one sweet deal, leave ol' Rocky Top for double pay, an easier conference, and more recruiting opportunities. DD was the dumba$$ that takes this slumped team and elects to be it's 3rd HC in 2 years thereby tossing his whole career on the table and possibly out the window. Yeah he gets more money but if he blows it he'll have as many HC opportunities as CPF does now. For that alone I might agree with his detractors because he was stupid for going to La Tech and leaving Saban's coattails and even dumber for coming here. Should have said no like everyone else.

You're right
The problem with teams in LA Tech's situation is that you have to play vastly superior teams just to make enough money to keep the program afloat.

UTC played FL St and I think Nebraska the same year, got killed, but pulled in 1 mil.

They were pretty good... but "top notch talent" in no way describes them. Anyway, as I recall... the real point was that LT doesn't have great talent, but neither did the WAC schools against which the Bulldogs struggled. Thus, I can understand the concern regarding Dooley.
