Larry Brown - Everywhere

Brown is a great coach, but he never stays in one place too long. We need stability and credibility right now. He certainly has the credibility, but we need someone for more that a couple years.

Do you really think anyone will consider the job before the hammer falls?

He would keep th program intact for a few yrs til he moves on. Larry wants to come back to college. No coach from mid majors have the connections to do this also Lawerence could keep it together thru sanctions I think.

It's not realistic. We're not going to get hammered by the NCAA. Hubbs and multiple others claim that Slime used his connections to determine what the punishments would be for the program if we kept versus if we axed Pearl; supposedly, by getting rid of him, we're looking at very minimal sanctions. Also, we might now be able to get a summary disposition and get this thing over with before June.

The will/would be H*ell yes. Pearl is gone and now UT pretty much knows what the penalty is to be.

Loss of 1 scholarship for a year or two. (which is way overkill, what competitive advantage was gained by having a barbecue)

Shaka Smart makes 400k, you don't think that he would take a job in a big boy conference, at a big boy school, nah right.

I hope he is the choice. The guy is good.

The NCAA does not tell a college the difference in sanctions if they keep or fire a coach. Its only speculation that if u part ways with him the sanctions will be lighter than anticipated. No school has been hit lightly after a coach was hit with unethical conduct, and all but one coach also lost their jobs.

Your point makes perfect sense. The reason/cause of the violations is/are gone. And what was the advantage gained by the violations committed. sweet little Aaron ran to OSU when they finally offered and Selby followed the money to KU. The other stuff was noise.

We need an experienced big name, but we need someone that is not retired or near retirement and someone that is going give us some great years. Larry Brown would have been a great hire about 25 years ago.

Craft had no major offers period. Pearl found him and offered, he committed then others came lookin at him so he jumped to OSU. Personally he did Pearl wrong.

Spot on.....extremely well played sir  That is why he IS LawVol13 folks.

I heard the NCAA was looking to start start hammering individuals responsible for sanctions harder than the universities. IMO this makes more sense. Peolpe should be responsible for their actions and take responsibility instead of making the school, players, and fans suffer.

Larry Brown would be an amazing coach. But who seriously would want this job after our previous coach got sacrificed to the NCAA over a itty bitty BBQ violation.... My point is, who in their right mind would want to work for the weakest AD in the nation?
