Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Lmfao.

The polls?

You are actually going to use polling data in a thread about President trump handling of covid 19?

You do get that base on ALL polling on 2016 this thread shouldn't even have Trumps name it.
Polls will be accurate more than not. I would always prefer to see my candidate with a lead.

Per Real Clear Politics, Biden leads Trump head to head in Wisconsin, Florida and Pennsylvania. Biden also holds the lead in the general election by 6 points. And as for my post history, I responded to many posts over the last year which said that Joe Biden would not be the Democratic Party nominee for President... and I always said that they wrong and Biden would win the nomination. So, I'm not always wrong, am I?

...and good luck winning an election with an unemployment rate over 10%. That just doesn't happen.
Last sentence is what this whole thing was about, congrats to you and your media on causing millions to lose their jobs, maybe homes, maybe cars, caused increased suicides, increased drug/alcohol abuse just because the economy was rolling along to well and you knew you couldn’t have that and win in November. You all are all scum

He was too chickensh!t to even suggest it was the smart thing to do, until late in the game. Backing up the governors choices shouldn't have taken as long as it did.

If he wants to pretend that he is omnipotent, at least he should say something somewhat helpful, more often than not.

That doesnt answer my question.

If he doesnt have the authority to open the country back up, did he have the authority to shut it down?

And no, I'm not referring to shutting down interstate travel, I'm talking about a "stay at home" order along the lines of what many states have.

Your side demanded he take over just a couple of weeks ago, now you socialists are whining he wants to take over

What are you talking about.. "my side" get out of here with your BS generalizations. Only thing I thought he should do, specifically, was to pass along his health advisors recommendations unfiltered. One of which was the idea of shutting down travel in and out of New York. Others, being the urging of governors to institute the stay at home orders, not demand them!

Again, he's so worried about blowback for showing any consequential leadership, he won't, if it doesn't involve him being seen as the absolute decider.

Why is the unemployment rate that high?

Please cite RCP at the same time in 16. And if you can look at yourself and be happy that unemployment is where it is then you really are a special type of person. Ok so you got Biden correct. So you have only been right once.

Vegas doesn't pick winners. Vegas is never right or wrong. They place a line where it will encourage an equal amount of wagers to both sides.

Vegas does pick winners but they set the spread at a level where enough people will bet the under to offset the over.

Ita why betting lines move based on how many are voting the over or under.

If vegas thought he would lose they would have him losing.

Yes, If he has the authority to declare martial law. No, if he does not. You may find people arguing one way or another about the specifics of that power. I'm fairly certain one of them would not be to force citizens to come out of their homes during a pandemic.

Weeks ago you libs were bashing him for not taking over, that’s a damn fact. I am all for states rights but these governors are weak and have no spine so he needs to give their sorry asses direction.

As far as Biden being the nominee, a well worn adage comes to mind: There is many a slip 'twixt the cup and the lip.

Polls will be accurate more than not. I would always prefer to see my candidate with a lead.

Polls are highly inaccurate.

Just a tid bit about my background.

Polling can either be used to get real numbers or to get the numbers you want.

I have been involved in both on a national level.

Polls are only as good as the questions asked and the people questioned.

You can fudge either to skew the results.

That is not true. Vegas sets the line where they think it will get an equal amount of bets, and then they adjust the line as the bets start coming in. Vegas does not pick winners and losers.

So wanted and did are the same thing now?

DID he???

If you want to think he is genius and that his azz covering isn't painfully obvious to just about everyone, I won't try to stop you.

That and holding up checks to have his name printed on them, are real smoove moves...

He can ride the resulting momentum all the way back to Mar a Lago. Permanently

So when vegas sets a ut vs ky game at -22 TN what does that mean?

Just because you can say it, doesn't make it so. Nate Silver, of FiveThirtyEight, missed a total of two states in 2008 and 2012, I think? Where did he get his data? From polls.

You can actually see the shift in the narrative now that the numbers are plateauing/dropping. It’s a shame in a time like this politicians can’t actually tell Americans the truth.

The same day CNN has an article quoting unnamed scientists that day we may have to keep doing this til 2022, Nancy Pelosi comes out and says we need to make sure we listen to the scientists.

The only bright side I can see to this mess is that come the second Tuesday in November, regardless of who wins the election, life will actually start to return to “normal.”

Yeah, mostly Republican governors seemed scared to exercise their authority, because Trump didn't seem on board.

But OK, Justin... Trump loves you, and would do exactly what you wanted him to, if he only had the power.

Trump won Wisconsin in 2016, and they just voted out a very conservative Governor named Scott Walker. Calling that a blue state is kind of weak... It's "purple"... but it doesn't look like Trump is going to win it.

49-48 you got me there. What is it with old white people as Democrats how old is this guy? He looks 100

It means that the oddsmakers believe that the bettors are much more likely to place bets on Tennessee. This can be as a result of home field advantage, the reputations of the two programs and their head to head history.
