Chris Cuomo is ridiculed for 'staging' reunion with his family after 'several weeks locked in his basement' - nine days after he left his Hamptons mansion and had a row with a 'loser fat biker'
Chris Cuomo has been mocked for filming a 'reunion' with his family after 'several weeks locked in his basement' - even though he admitted leaving his home just nine days ago.
The CNN anchor posted footage on his Instagram on Monday night showing him walking up the stairs to greet his kids at his Hamptons mansion, three weeks after he went into 'quarantine' to recover from coronavirus.
But Cuomo has been accused of staging the clip after he revealed he left his home on Easter Sunday - two weeks after testing positive - and confronted a 'fat biker' who asked him why he wasn't in quarantine.
The biker, only identified as David, claimed Cuomo stormed over and asked: 'Who the hell are you? I can do what I want!'
'He just ranted, screaming, "I'll find out who you are!",' David said. He then reported Cuomo to East Hamptons Police.
'I said to him, "Your brother [Andrew Cuomo] is the coronavirus czar, and you're not even following his rules — unnecessary travel,"' David told the
New York Post in an interview last week.
'I hate bullies,' David said.
David has since said he has no plans to press charges unless he feels threatened.
Twitter users accused Cuomo of staging the video and called out CNN for their 'lies'.
