I think this is something that black Americans deserve some answer to. And spare me the government healthcare line. If this was the case health departments would be viewed in a positive light.
The answer is poverty, public transportation, and urban living.

Riddle me this........
The three people you love most are detained in a room with two doors. One door lets you leave and the other door will trigger an explosive that will kill one of them,, maim one of the them, and leave the other unharmed.
They add a safe exit door every week.
So you have a 50% chance of picking the correct door in week one, a 67% chance in week two, a 75% chance in week three, etc...
There is a lessening increase in the probability of selecting a safe exit each week but there will never be a 100% guarantee of a safe exit. You have to select when they leave and by which door.

When do you tell them to leave?
You don’t. You let them choose.

Boise State coaches, athletics staff to be Furloughed

Boise State University, which is already facing $10 million in losses because of a partial shutdown caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, is furloughing many of its employees, including coaches and athletics staff.

Boise State president Marlene Tromp announced the furloughs in an email to staff on Monday night.

The university said 12-month employees earning more than $40,000 per year are required to take furloughs between May 3 and July 31. The highest-paid employees making more than $150,000 annually will have to take 10-day furloughs.

Broncos football coach Bryan Harsin, who earns $1.65 million in base salary, will forfeit about $63,000. Most of his assistant coaches are also subject to the 10-day requirement, along with men's basketball coach Leon Rice and women's basketball coach Gordy Presnell.

I agree with your post but I was referring to the propensity for blk Americans to be more suceptable to a list of health issues. The way to start to change that is with preventative care. Regular trips to a PCP and all the benefits that brings. And this can be done if community leaders were more interested in prioritizing this, helping them secure jobs that offer health insurance. Health insurance that lets you decide what's best for you. HR reps are very good in helping out with things like this. Nothing makes a person in management happier than giving someone an opportunity then watching them make the most of it.

That's just ****** up. Furlough everyone an equal amount of time necessary to make up the shortfall. Each employee will be off the same amount of time and lose the same percentage of pay.

Black people suffer from hypertension, diabetes, and obesity to a much greater degree than white people do. There lies the problem.
