Admitting they are wrong/have been duped is impossible for these people. They can literally look at graphs and numbers and tell you that they don't mean exactly what they show. They can give you a date for reference (such as happened here), and when the date shows nothing but positivity, be disappointed.
I really do feel some sympathy. It would be terrible to live life in a constant state of fear, and maybe even worse to have to confront the idea that your fears were largely unfounded and a product of misinformation.
I'm thankful that my kids have played competitive sports all week, my daughter is at a large sleepover, work was busy and normal, we are waiting for a table at a packed local hangout, and I don't have a worry at all about CV19.
