Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Would they not be able to fight it off without the vax? Pretty sure there are plenty alive who have

Some do, some don't. The facts show that the vax keeps people out of the hospital and unvaxxed people do sometimes get hospitalized. Just on this forum alone we have stories of people who came down with C19 and months later are still having symptoms. It sounds like these patients are not suffering that fate.

For me personally, if the vax keeps me from merely not losing my sense of taste for 4 months, it was worth it

We've named two instances, and that qualifies as "a lot"? The lede, as far the Yankees story, is that only one of the nine showed even mild symptoms.
I forget that VN is the omnipotent repository of all events. It has, in fact, only happened twice. My apologies.

They've been able to keep their Covid numbers really low thanks to geography. Requiring a test makes sense. And third world or not, you're not adding much to the mainland risk profile upon returning home.
I actually agree with your premise here and out of curiosity is Hawaii doing the same thing because they are even harder to get to. And if not why aren’t we being consistent

NC State baseball. Wasnt there a group in the Tour de France?

A lack of a compiled list proves nothing except the effort hasnt been extended to prove it an issue.

Not everyone involved with NC State baseball was vaccinated, and the only one with symptoms wasn't. I watch the TDF every year, and I can't recall a Covid issue. In fact, they made it all the way thru last year's tour (pre-vaccine) without any issues. I recall some members of the press getting kicked out, but again that was pre-vaccine.

It must have soccer then. Not sure what other international (non olympic) I follow.

The base of this story was both vaxxed and not vaxxed getting sick at the pool party, so not sure what meets your standard here on percentage of event goers.

I don't have any kind of standard. I'm not arguing that the vaccine can be expected to prevent contracting or transmitting the virus. No vaccine has ever been guaranteed to do so. But it makes it less likely, and makes the odds of a serious infection even less likely. That it's possible to point to incidences of spread amongst a group doesn't suggest that the vaccine doesn't work, particularly when the folks who wound up with the most significant symptoms were unvaccinated members of the group.

And to the "pool party" story in particular: I'd be really interested to know how these folks all worked together in a hospital and were on vacation in Vegas together, but they could somehow pinpoint the pool party as the moment of transmission.

I am pretty sure the doctors here have said vaccines either work or they dont. For some people it doesnt take. They dont decrease severity, they remove it.

Except for the Covid vax. The Covid vax for some reason runs the gambit on what it does.

That's completely antithetical to everything I've ever read about vaccines. Heck, that's antithetical to everything I've ever read about the human immune system.
