Yes. I was confused when they said it would hurt our chances by meeting with him the day before, considering he has long said that he wants to come here.

If true, the coaching staff dropped the ball on this one IMO... unless they have another 6'9 240 big guy they're confident they can get (and Otto Porter at 6'8" 200 does not count as a "solution" as a big guy either).

Dooley's MO on recruiting is to get the last word and last impression on a player. That is why we schedule almost all of our officials after the season instead of on gameday. That, and being able to spend more one on one time with said recruit. I don't see how getting in his ear and making an impression the day before he announces as a bad thing by any means.

I have to agree that mcbee did not earn a scholarship. He is a hustler but he can't shoot which was supposed to be his strength.

Could have something to do with 4* Center Uchebo who was recently released out of his NC State LOI b/c of the coaching change! He's also the teammate of 3* Bishop Daniels who many think will end up at Tennessee as well...
