Yeah, that's why he's been the most repected assistant in the country for years and Wyoming hired him again despite the fact he ditched them after one year in his previous stop there. Good call on your part.Cause nobody else would suggest that Shyatt is a remotely good coach.

Where did anyone say he's a great head coach? It doesn't take greatness to be very successful in the Mountain West, especially with BYU on the way out. Steve Fisher's done just fine at san Diego State. That's a pretty good indication you don't have to be Hall of Fame material to win in that league.Exactly; a well respected assistant. His .400 winning percentage and 8 years between head coaching stints radiates greatness. I'm sure Clemson would take him back in a heartbeat. If being a respected assistant qualifies one to be a great HC then Chris Collins is destined to be great right? Oh wait, that can't be right because you yourself said so.

You said he'd be very, very successful and he's one of the most respected assistants around. Sure sounds like you think pretty highly of him.

One of the more uninformed things I've seen posted.
Hahaha is he a friend too Hat? Cause nobody else would suggest that Shyatt is a remotely good coach.

So his record isn't indicative of his HC ability? I know he's a good ASSIATANT colach, if he wasn't Billy wouldn't have kept him around for 8 years. The guy was awful at Clemson, and if anyone says otherwise they're uninformed. Purnell and Brownell proved its possible to "win" and win consistently at Clemson, yet Shyatt managed to amass an astounding .400 record. Mind you, at a time when UNC was being tutored by the ever so great Matt Dougherty. So tell me where I'm missing the Shyatt is a good coach memo. Everyone's quick to drop to their knees to get a taste of Hat, and simply echo his sentiment without providing facts.
The man has been a HC before and he did so well he was let go, it took 8 years to get another sniff at a head job and it comes at MWC school that he left after one year previously. Kinda looks like Larry's not sure when he'll get another offer so he better jump at this one.

First you posted nothing about head coach, you said nobody would suggest he's remotely a good coach.
Second good little rant but hat has nothing to do with my thoughts on him. My opinion comes from talking to other coaches and limited personal experience with him.
Would yo please find where anyone said he was the next John Wooden? It was simply stated he's a good coach and will do well at Wyoming... thread was fine until ignorance was brought in.
