Let's be honest about the GOP position on health care....

the R's gave plenty of ideas but this admin wasn't listening.

Incorrect. There were many amendments to the Senate Bill offered by Republicans and adopted at that stage. Many of the Republican opposition points as to the Senate Bill were also taken up and included in the reconciliation Bill that followed.

There were some areas where agreement could have been reached, but which died because the only way the Republicans would have allowed their consideration (including of some of their own proposals) was to "start over," which was of course a ploy just to stall and kill it.

Everyone should just take a deep breath and make the system the best they can at this point. If there's particular aspects that should be reviewed or even repealed, the Republicans will get their chance. Its not worth effectively declaring Civil War over (despite the cals for that by some on the right).

your last post said they had no ideas and now it's that you don't think their ideas would work. If you just want free healthcare paid for by your fellow citizens just admit it

i buy my healthcare through my employer. i'am tired of it going up though. as stated the republicans blew smoke and played politics which made it easier for the dems to pass this. it's pretty easy to see. neither have a clue.

and that is why neither should be running it

They're doing unrepairable damage to their own party. It's being run like a dictatorship. This bill was not bipartisan, just like the stimulus. Prepare to get pounded in November. I really don't like either party, but these people have forgotten which country they live. I suggest they all move to Europe after half of them are unemployed in November.

which ones? They should be very easy to list. And are these in the Senate bill already or are they ones that "will be added by the house later after the bill is law"?

Everyone should just take a deep breath and make the system the best they can at this point.

sounds an awful lot like "if rape is inevitable may as well lay back and enjoy it"

i agree with the first part about the R's and the bill. about the civil war i don't think anything will change untill there are no republicans or democrats. the government does not work for the people

You speaking for "everyone" is scarier than this bill. But, least we all forget, YOU do know what is best for ALL mankind, I mean......you ARE an ATTORNEY.

Neal Boortz explains the TRUTH about the DNC and Healthcare:

"If you don't understand anything else about ObamaCare, please try to understand this. This has never been about improving the quality and the availability of health care to the American people. It has ALWAYS been about increasing government power.

If the Democrats had even one little bit serious about improving health care they would have at least turned to the private sector to look for ideas before creating this government monstrosity. Obama and the Democrats could have convened a meeting ... a meeting of private sector health care providers. They would have called doctors, drug companies, nurses, orderlies, hospitals, device manufacturers ... everyone connected with the delivery of health care ... to a conference. There, over a period of days, there would have been discussions, break-out sessions and meetings whereby suggestions would have been sought as to how to more effectively and efficiently deliver health care to the American people. Then representatives from every facet of the health care industry would have retreated into their corners to prepare a written report on their findings.

Those findings would have been brought before the appropriate committees of both houses of congress ... and an attempt to find a private sector solution would have been sought.

You didn't see that though, did you? Of course not --- and the reason you didn't see it was because the true goal of these Democrats was not to improve the quality of American health care .. but to control it! They had no desire whatsoever for private sector participation. Remember ... Obama referred to the private sector as "the enemy." He's hardly going to look there for any solutions.

In 1994, after the Republicans took control of the congress, I started warning my listeners that if the Democrats ever found themselves in complete control in Washington they would immediately take steps to make sure they never lost that power again. That's what ObamaCare is all about .... Government power. You watch ... before the November elections you will hear Democrats telling you that "If you vote for the Republicans, they'll take away your health care." No way I'm going to be wrong on this."

LG you are being disingenuous at best to say that the Repubs had any real say as to any of the details of this fiasco. Do you not remember the Dems locking them out of meetings when the plan was being developed?

now this is where i have a problem with you carter. i agree with what you say, but then you act like the republicans are bipatisan which is just not true. when dictator W was in there he did what he wanted, now we have dictator O in there and he is doing what he wants. it is a no win situation.

Awesome. I could ho to Seoul and call South Korea a first world country too. Limited anecdotal evidence is more worthless than tits on a boar.

Now, GTFO Ohio.

like i said highly taxed nobody working leads to people not caring and showing capitalism has serious flaws.

This will cause more job lose.
I just informed 12 of my full time installers that they will be indepedant contractors by the end of the summer.

could be true, but it can't get much worse around northern ohio where unemployment is around 13 to 14 percent.

not many unions left in ohio or michigan for that matter they have been broke. so those people are forced to go on the obama plan.

and why are their not many unions left in those states? probably the same reason that there arent many jobs left.

The unions have "flexed" their "muscle" for so long that the companies dont wanna bring their jobs there. In the Ohio-Michigan job field, the locusts that are unions have decimated and destroyed the fertility of those states to attract jobs.

This is the bill that makes it financially infeasible to provide a decent plan then reinforces the the stupidity by making dropping employer provided plans a perfect option. Majority will drop and gov't will be at the helm.

why would anyone pay for health insurance if they can just buy the gov't plan the second they get a major disease?
