He scored 4 points in an NCAA tournament game. 4. A goofy white boy was guarding him. 4 points. 4 (Four)

Everybody not named Tobias tanked in that game. They quit on the season legacy as Hamilton pretty much quit on them with the interview with Hyams.

I know I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but would anyone mind pulling up some in-game pics or video of Scotty pouting? I've just never seen him pout before like so many people say. I've seen him be non-aggressive and give up the ball when he should have been driving, but I've never seen this pouting that everyone refers to.

I'm assuming there's plenty of video/pics since so many flame him for it.

I tend to agree with you. However, there were games where Hopson did quit. Most coaches would have allowed him to join them on the bench when that happened. That approach may have greatly helped him, but didn't happen with Pearl.

Perhaps Pearl should have contracted your services to assist him with the team, seeing how you seem to know so much more than him about coaching college basketball

Interesting that you have no knowledgeable opinion on anything, but want to try to attack others for expressing their opinions. As usual, it is best just to ignore your comments rather than wasting time trying to debate with someone who doesn't have debate ability.

I get a huge kick out of the tone of your posts, which BTW, almost always sound like you know more about the game than Pearl.

There's nothing to debate. If there were, it is likely you wouldn't stand much of a chance

I have never indicated knowing more about basketball than Pearl or any other college coach. I do have knowledgeable opinions that I have expressed on many occasions. You don't have to agree with any of them, but to continue to express that I am saying or suggesting something that I have never said or suggested is absurd. If you want to attack my posts, feel free. However, quit adding your terrible misinformed interpretation of what I am really posting. If you can comprehend what you read, just take the post for what it actually says.

Scotty worked out for the Knicks a few Sundays back, and didn't even receive a grade which means they don't consider him at all draft worthy.

If anything, that is a good sign for Hopson... The Knicks have been notoriously bad at drafting for over a decade. The one player they actually drafted that was good and maybe even capable of being great got traded in year 2(Wilson Chandler).

Knicks=Raiders as far as draft prowess, scouting, and personnel decisions

Michael Buffer needed in multiple threads today... I'd say Michael can handle the other thread... Bring in Bruce Buffer for this one:)

Depends on your definition - I have a feeling that he did a lot more for UT athletics than most of the "fans" posting on here. Kinda sad that everyone wants to hate on this kid for trying to follow his dream. A true family would support him in whatever he tries to do, so guess you aren't a "VFL" either.

+1

Which is more than enough reason to believe he'll never make it in the NBA. From that alone. What else do you need to know?

Allan Houston had 3 points in his final game at UT. Did not make the tournament. Obviously that is a clear indicator of future NBA success.

Terrible comparison. Houston went 11th overall. LOL Two completely different players. Oh yeah Allan could dribble too.

It is inexcusable that this young man didn't have intelligent, honest advisors.

If you don't have a guarantee to go early, you stay another year.

It's not complicated. And the cost of a mistake this big is, well, 10+ years of a young man's life...and he has to find something else to do.

Can we blame Mike Hamilton for this?

I'm not the one who said a bad performance in their final game suggested they couldn't play in the NBA. I was Just pointing out a moronic statement

Scotty is the one who took benefits and made it so he coudn't return. He is a grown man, its no ones fault but his that he is the way he is.

I agree it's classless to trash him but the idea that a guy not being drafted is his school's fault is ridiculous.

UT did not fail him by the fact that he was not drafted. UT failed him by recruiting him and then creating a situation which became intolerable. You are kidding yourself if you think that what UT ultimately provided to the Pearl recruits was anywhere close to what was promised them when they signed their LOI. Not sayin' this was anyone's fault (other than Pearl's) - just suggesting that we not reflexively jump all over the kid when his world falls apart and he tries to make decisions that he believes are in his best interest. We at least owe him that for his efforts on behalf of UT over the past few years, whether those efforts live up to our expectations or not. Best Wishes, Scotty.
