No offense but you're the one sporting a Duke logo. I'd say it's rather embarrassing to be a fan of two different schools because they're power houses in different sports. Really makes no sense for someone that's a fan of two different teams to call someone else an embarrassment to their fan base because honestly, I find it embarrassing that you bandwagon another school simply because they're better in basketball than Tennessee. This might be a bet that I'd lose but I'd bet you don't like Duke football at all and that you're a bigger Duke basketball fan than you are a Tennessee basketball fan. sigh

He's not the brightest guy in that aspect. It's not like he's a cant miss draft pick either. He has serious limitations as an NFL prospect.

We will have to disagree then. I just can't understand how there isn't a huge difference from a kid taking a free meal and a kid getting 10k. Apples to oranges IMO and the NCAA will see it that way as well.

Not surprised. I've been saying for a while that I wouldnt be surprised if Manziel missed playing time this season for his antics or injury. This story was due to come out sooner or later.

At the end of the day...Manziel and all athletes know the rules, so it drives me nuts when people act if this is no big deal. Problem with this society.

If this happened in January, why did espn wait until now to release it? I smell a total espn made up bs story here to drive ratings. Why not have a special on the Vandy scandal? It it way worse than this.

All Ts must be crossed and Is dotted before some stories can come out. The Vandy story is a police legal matter so its course has to be taken. By the time it does it may or may not be a big news anymore. For stories like manziels the leakers need to "make sure it has no holes in it."

Why would you assume that ESPN knew about it before now? And one would hope that they took some time to vet the story (though this is ESPN, and such hopes are often in vain). We don't even know exactly when the NCAA first caught wind.

It will take the NCAA a year to investigate. By the time they figure it out he will be in the nfl.

the timing of this just stinks. Somebody waited to blow the top off to make some cash. If ESPN didnt talk 24 7 about it this would be gone tomorrow. They are creating a story. Like I said before, do an OSL on sex crimes by athletes on campus.

It wouldn't surprise me if Bama is behind all this. JM is an impressionable and obviously stupid kid who is a bit too full of himself. Chalk it up to immaturity and a Zeppelin sized ego. Bama boosters may have taken advantage of this personality "disorder" and lured him into doing this stuff so as to neutralize TAMU's chances against the Tide. Pure speculation, I admit, but I wouldn't put it above what cheating Bamans are capable.

It's not an off the wall speculation. But I'd put it more on UTX folks than Bama folks.

Probable, given the resentment over TAMU moving to the SEC. Maybe a lesson for players that like winning the lottery, if you win the Heisman, get and stay as far away from flies and stray dogs as you can get. Knowhutimen?
