Just read the article about Smith in football time. To bad hes leaving , I wonder what happened? It seemed like hes a good strength coach.

I don't want to lose a coach, but I damn sure don't want one who won't demand the moon from everyone. No quarter on the staff. We've had limited expectations for far too long.

A poster on other sites, whose credibility is questionable at best, said that this maybe related to the fact that Smith wouldn't give up control of the weight room to other sports. Seems as if he had a "King" like attitude and enough people complained to Hamilton that Hammy went to Kiffin to discuss it.

Beside the fact that it is lose not "loose" (which means I'm a spelling/grammar douche), I agree with you...I like what he is doing and I hope that he doesn't leave (whether it be on his own volition or a forced out situation).

I heard this from someone I knew on the basketball staff. She said that they wouldn't allow anyone other than football players in the weight room. Now, whether that's the reason he might be let go, I don't know. But it supports the theory of people being pissed about not being able to use the weight room.

This is not a bad report for Smith. He should fight for this darn room. UT football paid for it. Buy another one for all other sports. We need the Oline to live in this room. This is a desperate situation! :)
