So no private sellers at gun shows.....if they actually even allow any. I doubt those who run the gun shows are just letting any Joe blow in to sell guns. One thing you fail to understand a law is the minimum but many times, especially when dealing with firearms, they go a little above and beyond. Just like the 3 day rule, I have never seen a dealer abide by it. Not saying there’s not some low end pawn shop or something that doesn’t but most will get the “proceed” go ahead before they even think about doing the transaction.

I mean it’s way more obscure than the SCOTUS treatment of the second amendment that people keep bastardizing in this thread, so I’m not knocking you. I’m not even 100% sure you’re wrong.

But in 1942, SCOTUS held that it was fine for congress to pass a law setting limits on the amount of wheat a farmer could grow on his own land because, if all farmers grew excess wheat to feed their livestock, there would be a substantial impact on interstate commerce.

It hasn’t gotten much better since then.

So, that doesn’t directly address what you’re saying, so you may be correct. I know the scope of the authority is vast and I know that it really hasn’t been subject to much limitation, so it shouldn’t be hard to find the ones that exist. I’ll look more, later. I’m curious, now.

The problem with your argument is that you ignore the fact that buying and selling guns without a background check is not objectively immoral, while creating and/or distributing child porn is objectively immoral.

I have acquired my guns over say the past 15 years. I bought 2 last year. You still haven’t addressed some key issues. How many of these mass shooters have acquired the weapons used at gun shows?

how much wheat is grown on a commercial scale is different than someone running a lemonade stand on the corner. and I would say person to person sale is much closer to the lemonade stand than commercial interstate farming.

in this case there is presumably nothing "interstate" about the sale.

Finding 20 guns would be the hardest part. Hell finding 3 you wanted would be tough.
