If that makes a difference, then it should be pointed out that Fox News hired Karl Rove as a paid contributor in 2007. He had worked for the Bush administration and also served as Bush's campaign manager twice. Bush did not leave office until January of 2009.

Contributor and paid on air host is completely different.

Report: Chris Wallace ‘Having Daily Breakdowns’ over CNN+ Failure

Former Fox News anchor Chris Wallace has reportedly been breaking down in front of his crew over the “miserable failure” of the new streaming platform CNN+.

The launch of CNN+ has been anything but stellar, according to the latest statistics, with the platform drawing in close to 10,000 daily viewers and even fewer subscribers. Per CNBC:
Fewer than 10,000 people are using CNN+ on a daily basis two weeks into its existence, according to people familiar with the matter.

“SOURCE: Chris Wallace is ‘having daily breakdowns’ over the ‘miserable launch’ of [CNN+],” Nicosia announced. “Wants a ‘CNN show or is threatening to walk’ they go on. ‘He is having staffers count how many times a day his promo is playing.'”

The source also reportedly told Nicosia that Wallace is “telling anyone that will listen he wants” Chris Cuomo’s old time slot.

I'd love to monitor Wallace's comments for a few weeks.

Why Megyn Kelly turned down a ‘huge offer’ from CNN

Megyn Kelly said she considered moving to CNN from Fox News after then-network boss Jeff Zucker made what she described as a “huge offer.”

Kelly, who now hosts “The Megyn Kelly Show” podcast, said she ultimately decided against taking the offer because she didn’t think she would be able to bring her Fox News fan base over to the left-leaning network.

She made the comment during an interview on Friday with conservative commentator Buck Sexton. The interview was transcribed by the news site Mediaite.

Kelly instead opted to sign on with NBC News, where she hosted a morning talk show that ended up getting canceled due to low ratings and controversy.

Kelly said she chose not to go to CNN because she didn’t think she would have a sizeable audience there.

Kelly said Chris Wallace, who departed Fox News for a show on CNN+, the fledgling streaming service that has drawn very few subscribers, is “suffering from that very problem right now.”

She said she was surprised that Wallace left Fox News because he managed to earn a substantial, multimillion-dollar annual salary even though “he was in last place [in the ratings] every week, every year, every month.”

“He was always in last, and they still paid him,” Kelly said of Wallace and her former bosses at Fox News.

Kelly also lambasted CNN executives for conceiving of the idea of CNN+ in the first place.

“Who is the moron at CNN who actually thought, ‘You know what we need with our ratings in the toilet? More of us. We need more CNN,’” Kelly said.

CNN is getting slapped around by everyone right now.

they offered to sell clown news network to Elon for 28 bucks (not per share, 28 bucks total) and Elon is holding out for a lower price.

No problem seeing all these media hacks suffer and swallow their own vomit. Look like rats on a sinking ship. Unfortunately we are the ship.

I'm guessing they did a serious email campaign to get to 150k after being embarrassed.

Report: Warner Bros. Discovery to Cancel CNN+ Just 23 Days After Launch Announcement

cnnplusdone1-640x480.jpg

Warner Bros. Discovery will reportedly shut down CNN+ 23 days after announcing the streaming service.

Warner Bros. Discovery will nix the streaming service on April 30 just after CNN after having fewer than 10,000 daily views, according to reports. The move comes after CNN was acquired by the parent company, Variety reported:

One day, perhaps, a media executive will follow their "wow, this seems like a good opportunity for Jemele Hill" thought with the immediate realization that anything you make for/link to that clown is going to fail miserably.

The Most Busted Name In News! CNN+ streaming service is shut down three WEEKS after $300 Million launch because only 150,000 people signed up: 200 reporters and big name hosts like Chris Wallace and Eva Longoria are left in lurch

CNN+ Andrew Morse will leave the firm but it was not clear what will happen to around 200 reporters and hosts such as Chris Wallace and Eva Longoria.

Licht said those who worked for CNN 'will get opportunities to apply for jobs elsewhere inside Warner Bros Discovery'.

The streaming service was panned today as one of the biggest flops in broadcasting history.
