Many years ago I would have probably agreed with you, but since I've coached girls soccer on many different levels the last 15 years, including HS, it is a great sport. I'm not as big a fan of men's soccer because of all the theatrics they do, but women are as competitive and enjoyable to watch.Or … just stop playing soccer all together .
You may have put your finger on a way to generate more revenue for the US women's team. Maybe do away with some of the less feminine players like Rapinoe and instead recruit players based on appeal. Maybe alter the uniforms a bit, also. I'm sure that could boost revenue a little.I like watching girls in soccer shorts
I would have no problem at all with the US Women using their sex appeal to increase revenue. And would not judge them in the slightest. You may have put your finger on a way to generate more revenue for the US women's team. They should lower the mens pay to match instead of increasing the females.

It's a good game for girls, keeps them toned.

More power to them.
Prefer them in volleyball shorts myself
Pretty much tells the women's soccer story.I always get the side eye from my wife when I randomly stop on SEC Network to catch up on the Florida v Alabama women’s volleyball action.
I doubt that. They have to have it 1st. Women's soccer is another corporate welfare program
You just watch 'A league of Their Own'?You may have put your finger on a way to generate more revenue for the US women's team. Oh thank goodness lol. I’ve tried to think of a logical reason to justify paying them the same, but I can’t think of one.
The men get paid more because they bring in more money, not because they’re more successful on the field. The women should hope the mens team doesn’t get it together, because IF they ever win a WC, that pay gap may get bigger.Because of PR and the women's revenue has grown a ton the last decade.
The women are basically guaranteed to have a good showing in the WC. The men have the potential to bring in tons more $ if they do well, but sometimes they don't even make the WC. They do well once every 12 years. The women are steady in a business that is showing to be more and more fruitful.
I doubt that.
The US Women’s soccer team has been incredibly successful. They are generating revenue. Just not as much as the Men.
They attempt to conflate their success compared to the men with their pay compared to the men. Doesn’t work that way.
