Meyer stepping down

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the center cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

I find it funny when people bash Meyer. All he's done is win 2 national championships and 2 BCS bowls...but, but he can't win without Tebow. So what if he had Tebow? Is it not his job to go out and find the best players for his system? He's proven he's a winner at every place he's been.

Gruden
Do not think he is ever going to coach college football.

I still don't get why his name keeps coming up with every college coaching opening. Sorry, Fl is not any better of a job, than UM or UT. The guy is not a recruiter, I know he could, he has a superbowl ring, but he has never. He currently sits in a booth, watches football and gets DANG good money to do it, with no pressure to win. Sure he entertains offers like he did at Miami, but he will never be a college coach
!!!!!!

any change we fire chaney and Hire Meyer to be our O/C. Can not wait to see Bray run the option!!! ever see a string bean stapped in two.:loco::loco::loco::loco::loco:

They still win the NC without Tebow especially with that defense.

You can speculate about that all you want. I was only pointing out the fact that you incorrectly said Meyer Meyer won a NC without Tebow on the team.

I don't know why anybody with a gig like Gruden has would want to create a situation where he has to work hard again.
I don't know what he wants to do, but he may not want his coaching career to be over with a firing.

Leak 365 pass att 77 rushing att 442 touches
Tebow 33 pass att 89 rushing att 122 touches

It was the times they put him in that I remember. Short and gotta have it. That helped them out so much. Just as it did the next three years when he started.

No worries for UF fans. Clearly Yeats was talking about the coming of Ed Orgeron.

Because he's college football's lenox lewis. Retiring at the height of his career for reasons I don't really buy. Plus he was the coach at florida, a program most of us vol fans don't care for. Why wouldn't we bash meyer?

He cited coaching in a 24/7 profession taking a toll on him. Most people put up with it because they aspire to get where he is now, a place he hasn't been too long. So without other factors it seems like a strange time to throw in the towel. If he thought he could keep winning at the level he did with timmy, he wouldn't be retiring. He wants his legacy to be something it wouldn't be if he kept coaching and he knows it and anybody who sees what's going on knows it. That's my take anyway

....he is the biggest media wh*ore around. He is slated to play Joe Paterno and Penn State in the Outback Bowl. And instead of everyone talking about JOE PA like they should be, and asking if HE is going to retire, they are going to be talking about Urbie. He just has to have the spotlight AT ALL TIMES! Why not just wait until after the bowl game to announce it.

No class.....at all!
