Meyer stepping down

Do any of you guys think that maybe he wants the Broncos' job?? It dawned on me a little while ago that maybe he wants to be with Tebow again? I could be crazy but it's definitely something to think about.

Because he's college football's lenox lewis. Retiring at the height of his career for reasons I don't really buy. Plus he was the coach at florida, a program most of us vol fans don't care for. Why wouldn't we bash meyer?

He cited coaching in a 24/7 profession taking a toll on him. Most people put up with it because they aspire to get where he is now, a place he hasn't been too long. So without other factors it seems like a strange time to throw in the towel. If he thought he could keep winning at the level he did with timmy, he wouldn't be retiring. He wants his legacy to be something it wouldn't be if he kept coaching and he knows it and anybody who sees what's going on knows it. That's my take anyway

well besides tebow he recruited percy harvin and cam newton too. easily 3 of the best players this decade

and a long list of other great players so yea keep thinking that

Gruden

I still don't get why his name keeps coming up with every college coaching opening. Sorry, Fl is not any better of a job, than UM or UT. The guy is not a recruiter, I know he could, he has a superbowl ring, but he has never. He currently sits in a booth, watches football and gets DANG good money to do it, with no pressure to win. Sure he entertains offers like he did at Miami, but he will never be a college coach
!!!!!!

I love the Vols, but FL is a better job than UM and UT. FL is arguably the best college football job in the country. TX and a USC not on probation are probably the only two who could seriously debate FL for the top coaching job in the country.

I agree with you on Gruden though.

He sure did love the guy. But I don't think that makes much sense. I always figured its easier to find a job when you have a job. Not after you quit one cause you were tired. Granted we aren't talking about the 7-11 here, but being the coach at florida isn't stopping him from getting hired in the nfl. Maybe he's moving to denver to be tim's roommate.

they'll talk about paterno for a month when he finally falls over dead on the sideline at the age of 102

Hey wait........

Kiff's wife was a gator cheer chick.

this could be HER dream job.

How many of YOU would follow HER?

Paterno has already announced that he was returning. Meyer got convinced to come back but is leaving. There's no better time to announce it than now. It gives them time to get a coach and salvage something in their recruiting class. Announcing that he's leaving in January would only destroy their recruiting class. I'd have preferred that, but anyone with a clue wouldn't do that to a University that means so much to them.

BYE!!!!!!!!!!! Don't let the door knob hit ya where the good lord split ya!!!!!!! Man up Urbie, we all know you can't win without your glorified fullback teblow in your BS offense. And your just gonna tuck tail and run, what a joke!! I love it!!!!!!
